I had my stamp club girls over today and it was great to see them, some of them even were here yesterday for my catalog kick off too. What a bunch of great gals. I will show you the cards they did in the next day or so.
Mimeograph Monday is back! Did you miss it? I did, and with the brand new catalog full of amazing samples to copy, this year is going to be a breeze.
Do you have the new catalog? If you don't, let me know and I can send you one. The postage and handling is $6.00 and the catalog is my free gift to you, I can send you the paypal link. Ask me how you can get one for free.
So this has to be one of my favorite sets (that is solid anyway). It is called House & Home and I love the vintage look of it and I so want to make a framed art piece for my laundry room. I don't know why I like the ironing board image so much cause really I hate to iron and I am really bad at it. In fact I think after I iron, the clothes have worse wrinkles then they did before.
Stamp Set: House & Home, Petite Pairs
Paper: Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Domestic Goddess DSO
Ink: Poppy Parade, Pool Party pads, Basic Black Marker
Misc: White Bakers Twine, Sewing machine, Perfect Polka Dots Embossing folder
What? Yeah I actually used the sewing machine, it is nice it has its spot in my remodeled studio, I should use it more often. I am not super good at it (almost as bad as the iron), and in fact I have it set wrong, when I went to pull the card away after sewing, the bobbin dealie is so tough it didn't want to move, so I have to figure that out. Luckily I didn't tear the card all to heck.
Well I gotta get to cleaning up from today and stamp the cards for the girls that couldn't make it today. I have DSP shares to go out tomorrow and USPS updated their system and they are having issues. Hmmm…looks like a trip to the PO if it doesn't get fixed tonight.
Have an awesome Monday and thanks for stopping in.
Maybe the iron reminds you of Granny ironing clothes in Andy and Marions old house! That's what I think of when I think of ironing. Remember how she used to spray them all and then have them in those bags so when she ironed them they would come out so perfect.
I suck at ironing too – I actually had to buy an iron so I could do the waxed paper resist technique!!!!
Luv ya
Jax
LOL! Like jax I only use my iron for craft stuff! Love your card, the sewing is pretty cool!
Di,
When you are ready to pull the sewn piece off just turn the wheel with your hand a little…this should release the bobbin and allow you to pull the threaded piece away and cut the thread.
Lovely card….and I was sure I did not need a house cleaning related stamp set :-(((
