Am I a Teenager Again?

Country Dozen Rewards

26 Jul

010 copy

Cause you would think by my complexion I am.  Zits here and there…ugh! Although I think it is cause of the heat and now once in a while I will wear foundation and my face is not used to that.

I watched some show and the girl was saying we (us woman folk) need to get dressed up, full make up and all even if we are just staying home, that way we feel better.  Well today I felt fine, I do feel that I am indeed getting a cold (ugh), but I didn't put make up on, and I didn't get dressed up all purty like.  It's too hot, plus I was not going anywhere.  The same show talked about us woman need to have the best bras and undies and the undergarments that help us look our best.  I checked out the over 100 degree temperature and I thought, do I want to wear a fancy bra and then a girdlie thing to hide my muffin top and then clothes on top of that?  I am sure I would look better, but wouldn't the beads of sweat dripping down my face washing off my makeup kinda make all that work useless?  Just wondering? I wonder where this girl who was giving all the rules of how we women should present ourselves lives, cause I doubt it was Arizona.

At convention I swapped with the fabulous most talented cutie patootie Carrie "Artistic Avenger" Gaskin and I knew I wanted to do her card for my catalog kick off party.  I changed the greeting and put snowflakes on the Lucky Limeade cardstock but basically it is her card, and everyone loved it. Thanks Carrie!!

I just love the little mini silver brads, they are adorable, and the perfect size.

Today I worked on my July on-line order thank you cards and I will show you those in a day or so. There is still a few days to get your own.  I send a thank you card to everyone that places an on-line order with me each month.  It's nice when I hear back that you liked the card. I always put a post it note inside instead of writing in it, that way the card can be used again. When placing an online order, please don't forget my Country Dozen Rewards, for every $40.00 before tax and shipping you earn one egg!!

Today I painted up and aged the window frame I found at the antique place, I picked the one with the fun window latch thing and the side that was painted meant when I put the DSP in the window pane you wouldn't see the latch so I had to paint the other side, I just used some of the paint I had on hand and the glaze and shabby'ed it up.  I wanna use Beau Chateau as the DSP in it.  Jeff was trying to figure out how to hang it.

Well I have some envelopes to address, so I better sign off.

Have an awesome Tuesday and thanks so much for stopping in.

A signature white 5

I would love to see the frame when you finish with it. Oh yeah, I wear makeup, my high heels, my tiara, my ball gown all around the house so I can look good for Roscoe (who is the only one home during the day) and feel good. NOT!! Actually I do good to get out of my robe and into jeans and a shirt. The card is absolutely darling. Thanks for sharing it with us.

OMG….I laughed until I couldn't BREATHE! I am SO all over what you said about makeup and great bras and all the above. Nothing says oh MAN faster than a streak of sweat that rolls down the side of your face and makes a not so attractive stripe through your blush. And boy howdy let me tell YOU the first thing that comes off at MY house at night after work is the bra…and whether it's an ATTRACTIVE one or an old one, that, my darlings, makes ME feel all better. Oh yeah…b/4 I forget your snowman card was awesome! He's a cute lil dude, eh? :> LUV your site dear one….you rock.

I love reading your blogs! You make me laugh out loud! Sorry about the break out… and unless I'm going to church, work, or someplace important (a stampin' up workshop would qualify) the make-up is OFF! And, girdles or "spanks" are ONLY for a photo moment. I wore one for the dress-up night on my cruise and before dinner was over I made an excuse to go to the cabin and get rid of it. Just about went to the ladies room to throw it in the trash, but remembered there was another torture night three days later.

Thanks for sharing the card… I think I'll be copying it, too. I'll give you and Carrie credit for the wonderful idea. Feel better.

Make-up? Blech! Same with all those fancy (and usually uncomfortable) clothes? Blech!
I really love your cute snowman card though!

Well, I live in Massachusetts (it was 100 degrees last week!) and I'm in total agreement with you about the undergarments and the sweat streaks……….

    Love your blog, Diana!

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
