Tales from the Crypt

This 'n' That

17 Jun

005 copy

Remember that show? That mummy thing would talk to the camera, boy they don't make shows like that anymore do they?

This morning I cut paper, but then I took Jeff's Mum and brother Tim to lunch at, where else? The Deli. Mum had been there before but not Tim and we lucked out and they had French Onion Soup and it is the best.  I was wishing the Deli chefs worked on the cruise. We got there just in time too, we got the last available table. OMG! and they had fresh picked tomatoes from the garden there to buy too, and I got four of them and I had a tomato sandwich for supper…well I actually had two, I wish I had of picked up more.  Nothing beats fresh tomatoes.  The ones we get in the store are like cardboard.

So when I got back home I got back to cutting. It was nice to take a break and visit though, as Mum goes home tomorrow.

I also updated my class calendar through October, so don't miss any of the classes you want to attend.

This is another of the cards for my 10/10/20 Masculine card class this weekend.  I saw this card by the very talented Twila Mooneyham and had to do it. (Thanks Twila for your amazing talent). I did my skull a bit different. I stamped the skull image on the Pear Pizzazz cardstock and I just used white pastels on it then highlighted with the gel pen.  At the 10/10/20 classes you have to do cards that don't take a long time to do, to keep the flow of class going along.

Stamp Set: From the Crypt ( this set is retiring and will be gone after June 30, I will miss it!), Teeny Tiny Wishes

Paper: Basic Black, Basic Gray, Pear Pizzazz, Basic Gray DSP

Ink: Jetblack Stazon, Basic Gray

Misc: Black Satin ribbon, Word Window punch, Modern Label punch, Scallop Trim Border punch, Stampin' Pastels, White gel pen

I think this would be a great birthday card for someone with a sense of humor for like their 40 or 50 birthday.  I will have other greetings the girls can use as well.

So are you enjoying the masculine cards so far?  I hope so. I hope that if you are not able to attend the class cause of living out of state that you can at least get the idea to copy at home.

Jeff is pouring a new walkway and they will do the cement tomorrow I told him wouldn't it look cute if I took Stella and walked her along so that her feet prints were in the concrete.  He didn't think so. Oh well. Ha!

Have an awesome Friday and thanks for stopping in.

Love the card Di – Can't wait to attend your class this weekend. The whole idea of walking Stella through the freshly poured cement is an AWESOME idea…..and for the life of me……I can't figure out why Jeff doesn't think it's a GOOD ONE! See you Saturday!

Great card Diana! I think maybe if Stella escaped her pen and just happened to walk on the new cement………

We have Roscoe's big brother, Bubba (rest his soul), prints in 2 of our cement areas that were being poured. The person that did it saw me and didn't appreciate me. I just basically said but in a nice way "suck it up baby, we are paying you to do this and can make any prints we want." Haaaa You have to get Stella to do it a little bit on one of the areas, and Toby too. Your card is great, I would have loved to come to one of these classes. Have fun.

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
