Ugh, it's hot! I keep telling myself in 4 months it will be nice. Ha! Well at least I don't have to work outside there is that to be thankful for.
I wanted to show you a few more pictures from Alaska, this should be it.
These are from my sweet friend Kim Sinclair, (thanks Hunny Bunny!!) and I can't wait to see her and her BFF Becky Roberts at convention. My BFF Tracy is not going this year, so MAMMa is going to wear the BFF hat as well as the MAMMa and the roomie hat.
Here Kim and I are at the Welcome party and this is the President of Stampin' Up! Rich Jutkins and his beautiful wife, who I'm proud to say is my friend, Wendi. They are such sweet down to earth people. I just love them.
Here's me doing I don't even remember what, eating something…oh it's my ice cream with the cone. I like a bowl of ice cream and then I just want a cone stuck on the top to eat. I remember growing up we would go for ice cream cones, and then when Poppa or Granny would get almost done with theirs, they would stick their cone end in my cone. Guess I never grew out of that and good thing I was not a germafobe back then, cause I would have been freaking out "germs! germs! there was spit on the cone!!"
Here's Kim and I with the statue on the dock at Ketchikan. We didn't get all climbed up in there, cause I can't remember what it was, but someone had put like a banana peel or something and we didn't want to get in it.
Here we all are in our matching coats and purses…ha! Frenchie, Meg, Glenda, me & Kim . I think Kim is holding her eskimo baby, she had a hard time deciding which one to get, all their faces had such character.
I only wish I had of taken this picture, but Brad & Kim did. Next time we go to Alaska I am going to do a Whale watch excursion, we did our first year there and did see a couple but I had a horrible camera, now it is better, so I might have got some good shots.
Here we are down on the lower deck and you can see all the ice bergs behind us. You know I have a cousin and her name is Storm and she married a guy and her last name changed to Berg, so we used to say good thing her name wasn't Ice.
So I can't believe I didn't take food pictures, I usually do, but to be honest I was not super impressed with the food and started ordering the same thing each time, so those would be boring pictures. But when we went to the fancy restaurant where you pay to eat, it was good (the soup was still bad..but oh well), but I got lobster tail and it was so yummy. They even took it out of the hard tail part for us right at the table.
That's it from Kim…let me find something stamping to show you, I know I took pictures in the Trading Post of displays….
This is hard to see but it is a little flower pot with flowers made with the pop candy in the center.
Look how cute this little box is, I believe it was made of chipboard, colored with the ink pads, and then DSP attached…adorable, wouldn't this look cute on a little boy's dresser?
One more and I am headed to bed. I might have to get up at 2am to go pick up Mum Gibbs. Her plane is delayed…ugh! Poor girl is probably so tired.
This was on the bottom of a scrapbook page, I just loved all the texture.
Have an awesome Tuesday and thanks for stopping in.
Way too much fun that you are showing us. Come on over here to southeast MO where our temp is low 80's. It is very comfortable during the day and nice during the night. It won't be for long. Soon it will be back in the 90's and very humid again.
Carey and Roscoe
You and me both! We came back to 100 degree humid weather. We miss Alaska so much. Everyday, I say, " a week ago today we were at so and so". So two weeks ago today we were in Skagway. Ah to be back there again! I love your smile! You light up a room!
Okay Di…..I'm with you….SERIOUSLY HOT here in the Tucson Area-but will cool off in four HOT MONTHS! Thanks for sharing your fun Alaska Cruise Pics with us – looks like you had more fun than we will ever know!
