I “Saw” That

This 'n' That

15 Jun

061 copy

I have a 10/10/20 Masculine card class coming up this weekend so I am frantically designing cards and cutting cardstock. I've got 250 cards to cut…not too bad.  This is such a great man stamp set, and it is always one I turn to. My Poppa would have loved it, cause of the many hats he wore, one was a carpenter.

I used the Tasteful Trim die to get the rick rack piece and glued it under the DSP.  It reminds me of the saw blades.

Stamp Set: Toteally Tool

Paper: Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Soft Suede DSP, Watercolor paper

Ink: Jetblack Stazon, Bashful Blue, Sahara Sand, Soft Suede

Misc: Tasteful Trim Die, Cutter Kit

The other day when I went to get my nails done, afterwards I ran over to the two antique places I go to, I wanted to pick up a few more glass jars, I like to find fun ones.

I got a baby bottle, a couple milk bottles ( I love that the one has a name on it where it is from), and I also picked up two little cookie decoration thing bottles.  What is cool is they are from two different places in Illinois.  One even still had the little decor things in it. I tossed them and washed all the jars up nice and clean.

I also found my lamp! It was in a different part of the store and it was the first aisle I came to, it was fate.  I had seen it months ago and as I was driving home I was like oh my gosh that would have looked so cool in my cupboard, cause there is a plug-in inside the cabinet.  I did remove the plain black lid and I put one of my mason jar lids on it.  Looks cool eh? The flame looks pretty real and flickers inside the bulb.  I need to find a place to buy more of these bulbs.

Also the other day I had Jeff pick up some fruit at the store (I am trying to eat healthier and with more fiber), he picked up a huge container of strawberries so as I was cleaning them and getting them ready I found one of the strawberries still had a flower on it.  I ran for my camera…it doesn't take much to excite me does it?

072 copy
Neat eh?  I used my super macro setting..thanks Mel for showing me how to get that.  When's the class anyway?

So Jeff's Dad left today, he drives a big rig and his load is ready, and Jeff's Mum got here via airplane.  They got to see each other for just a bit cause Mum's plane was like delayed 7 hours, they had enough time for some snuggles and hugs and off he went.  Mum Gibbs is here till Friday and she'll fly back home taking our niece Charlie with her for a short visit in Illinois.

Aren't they cute?

Speaking of cute. Before Mum got here Dad told Eric that Grandma does not like facial hair and he had a full beard (he shaves once a month), so the other day he went in the bathroom and came out like this.

066 copy
He gave himself a goatee.  It actually looks really good on him.  I told him wait till MAMMa sees him, she is always calling him gorgeous!! He loves the attention!

Well this old gal has got some more paper to cut, and the paper fairies don't come in and cut it at night while I am asleep. What's up with that anyway?

Have an awesome Wednesday and thanks for stopping in!

A signature white 5

Tell Eric he looks great. Of course, this is coming from someone that is old enough to be his grandmother so he probably won't be impressed. I would love, love, love to go antiquing with you some day. What a ball it would be. I don't know a doggone thing about this though. I just bought that die last week with my SU BD discount and love it. I have seen so many cute ideas with it. Your card is especially darling. TFS. Now get back to cutting girl.

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
