Think Cold

This 'n' That

15 May

002 copy

So after class today Jeff and I ran a few errands, we had a late lunch at The Deli, and as we sat there we were trying to think where we would be next week.

We get to Ketchikan on Sunday and the weather is supposed to be around 57 or so.  Just a tad bit cooler then it has been here, almost 100.  As I told you before I really suck at math, but that seems half as cold almost. Yikes! I remember when we went before the dining room was cold at night and when we went to the shows at night we about froze, so I got lots of clothes to layer.

I have been texting with my girlfriend Mel tonight and telling her I hope my jeans fit. This week I'll be trying everything on and writing down what goes with what and what days to wear stuff…what? doesn't everyone do that? What if say the last day you are wearing white pants and by accident you wore your skin color knickers on the third day and now all you have left are your black ones…that is not going to go over very well will it…so I usually try to have a system.

One thing I have wanted to do was schedule a My Digital Studio card class, and I thought it would be the perfect class to have right after we get back.  So I designed 10 cards in MDS and had them professionally printed with the SU! printer and then I am altering them or making them into a hybrid card. I am having so much fun.  So at class there will be a variety of cards we are doing, and one is Christmas, cause it'll be here before we know it…well it will…7 months.

This is one of the cards from class.

Stamp Set: Contempo Christmas

Paper: Cherry Cobbler, Shimmery White, MDS card

Misc: Early Espresso taffeta ribbon, ornament punch

What did you say? What about the brads? Nope they are using the MDS program, I just added a shadow to them so they look real and are popping off the card. I love it. Don't you?  If you live in Arizona and want to take my classes let me know by signing up for my newsletter over to the left, not the blog feed but the newsletters, then you will know when I am having classes.  As for a long distance kit for this class, I will have to figure it out. Let me know if you are interested.

Anyway, I better sign off for the night, I have another watercolor class in the morning.

Have a blessed Sunday and thanks for stopping in.

A signature white 5

    Cute card Diana!

LOL, I'm writing down my outfits too today for my trip to Texas next week. I do that all the time…makes my life easier & aren't we ALL about easy when we're on vacation?! I have a file on my PC for short trips & long trips with the things I need to pack & my list of outfits for me & hubby & all I need to do is change the outfits on the document for the each day of my trip…GREAT minds work the same, hahaha!!! I also print my itinerary & attach it to our luggage with a big yellow tag I found for this purpose (the printed sheet is inside the tag) in case the airlines loose our luggage (bite your tongue…that won't happen!)it's never happened to us, me crossing my fingers. Have fun on your trip kiddo!

Actually I can imagine it that cold. It has been in the 40's and 50's the last 2 nights. Right now it is 60 without any sun. I am sitting here in my blue jeans and a hoodie and I am cold. You are going to have such a well deserved cruise. Your hybrid is darling and I can't wait to see what else you have invented. See ya

You are one busy lady. I hope you have a wonderful trip and some well deserved rest. I know your workshops are lots of fun. I like your idea of making a list of the outfits for each day, I guess I kind of do that in my mind but had not thought of writing it down. Have a good week.

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
