The Motion of the Ocean

This 'n' That

25 May

Is rocky today. We are at sea all day headed from Skagway to Victoria BC.  I did surf the channels on the tv last night to see American Idol and could not find it, so feel free to email me your thoughts and when I get back on the computer later I can at least read them.

Last night was the Demonstrator share at 11:30 with a dessert bar, and there were so many great ideas.

It was nice to be able to sleep in…if 7:30 is sleeping in….we had to set our clocks forward.

Today we have our make n takes, and I love the set we got, it is not the set I was thinking cause I was assuming it might match our luggage tags or something.

Cross your fingers that when we get to Victoria I can find that little art gallery and also we can find us some poutine, I think Jeff might enjoy a Labbatts or something too.

Big hugs to all,

Di – on location somewhere in the rocky sea.

Scotty did a good job but I really liked Lauren last night. She blew a vocal chord during rehearsal but they had her all doctored up and you couldn't even tell it. I especially loved the song that they have written for her first single if she wins. It made her momma cry. The judges said that Scotty won the first round, Lauren the second round and the third round, Randy said Lauren, Jennifer wouldn't call it and Steven said Lauren won the whole night because she is the prettiest. 🙂

American Idol was great last night. You'll have to catch the performances later. I know your IDOL is gone but mine is still there and he did super! Tonight we'll find out. Lauren was amzaing too. Diana, I'm looking forward to seeing all the samples you receive from your trades. There is so much talent with all those demonstrators. Have fun – I know you are!

Watching Idol as we "speak". James just performed with Judas Priest. Awesome. No matter who wins, the wrong person is winning. Jacob performed with Gladys Knight and some guy–don't know who he is but he was good. Hope the sea settles down.

Well, Di….it is pretty close for AI I think. I have voted all season for both Scotty & Lauren (as well as James) and last night they were both awesome! Lauren did Flat on the Floor and Maybe it was Memphis and the song written for her to record if she wins…Like My Mother Does. It was perfect for her and she did a phenomenal job with it! Scotty did Gone (I love to hear him do that song), Check Yes or No, and his song…I Love You This Much. Another perfect song for him as well and he was awesome! Don't have a clue who will win it is so close…even the judges felt that way. Hope you have set the DVR to record the finale…it has been awesome!

If you have time while in Victoria stop for tea at the Empress Hotel. Will be MUCH nicer than poutine!! Hope the motion of the ocean settled a bit for you.

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
