Today was fun, I had my first Artist Tray class. These are cute ATC (Artist Trading Cards) or Photo memory trays, and it was fun seeing everyone do theirs. These trays are not from Stampin' Up!, I got them somewhere else. It's fun to do a 3-D class once in a while. The class was weird for me cause I usually have a structured class meaning I plan it out and everyone makes the same thing. This time they all got their trays and they each got a package of assorted embellishments, then basically they designed their tray using my papers, stamps, ribbons, other embellishments. They were to bring their own photos and personal momentos they may want to display on the tray as well. It went pretty good. I have a bigger class tomorrow, so hoping it goes as well. The girls seemed to like it today, and they even said I could take their pictures and put it on my blog, how sweet are they?
Here's Sharon, she was making her frame for her Dad. It had some cool photos on there, she did a great job.
Here's Sylvia, Shana & Linda. I have known Shana for a few years now, she is so cute and she has adorable twin boys so her frame was of them. She brought her two friends with her and this was my first time meeting them. They were so much fun. Sylvia did pictures of her and her hubby and left room for the new baby that is due. Linda did one with her family. I think they all turned out so awesome. I can't wait for tomorrow's class, I will try to remember to take pictures too.
My tray is going to be Artist Trading Cards only I think, I can't seem to figure out how I would want to add pictures as well, so I think I will do a different tray with photos as well. I am still doing mine, as it is very addictive and I'm a little anal with my little cards.
Here is one of the little cards that is on mine, I will show you one a day…not like dragggggiinnng it out eh? Then I will show you the completed tray at the end. This is a little card based on a big card by Rene Van Stralen, the stamping Goddess. My tray is going to be vintagey and shabby…what else eh?
While I was working on my tray I saw this commercial and laughed so hard, and had to find it for you. I could watch it over and over…of course I would not want to clean this up, and I wonder if the dog now thinks it is ok to do this, so at his real home he keeps doing it, and wondering why he gets scolded and not the treats he kept getting while the camera was rolling, cause you know it probably was not filmed in one take.
Toby does this sometimes in his toy box, and I have seen him do it on the blanket like he wants to bury his treat. Oh to know what goes through a dog's mind.
Well this old gal is gonna call it a night.
Have a blessed Sunday and thanks for stopping in!
Oh what fun! Their trays came out beautiful! And I'm wicked jealous, I want to come play too! I love your ATC. Your coloring is always amazing and really makes your projects shine! Have fun today and can't wait to hear how it goes!
Diana, I love these trays! Did you order them online somewhere or buy them locally? I can't wait to see the rest of your cards!
Where did you find the trays? I'd love to make one.
Awesome Projects Di – LOVE LOVE LOVE how these turned out. I also think your video at the end of your post is SO CUTE – Don't pets do the most entertaining things? LOVE 'EM! Thanks for sharing!
Ha! I saw this commercial for the first time a day or two ago and was wondering if I would see it on your blog. I love it too.
Di, I loved the projects your crafters created! What a neat idea…
What a great idea. Looking forward to seeing your completed one.
You NEED to make several trays for yourself… one w/ artist trading cards, one for Alaska trip and save one for Disney! They display so cool on an easel or on the wall and you can secretly presto-chango them out, and let your regular visitors think,"Hmmm! Didn't she have something different in that just a week ago?"
I LOVE your little card! How adorable!
Such a funny video too! I wonder if that's what MY dog has been doing, since we just had to replace the trim under the cabinet from water damage near her bowl…hmmmm….
Love these!! So where can I get some a tray to create my own? Your blog always amazes me. I love reading it and I love seeing your work! Thanks!!
