Sweet Summer

Sale-A-Bration

5 Mar

008 copy

Stress, kinda feeling it! Maybe if I eat more chocolate and drink some more Vanilla Coke that will help. Mark was going to be bringing the rest of the stuff tonight, crown molding and the water heater fake door cover thingie…my open house is in the morning…he just texted me and said he would be over in the morning at 7 to do it. WHAT!!??? So let me unwrap another chocolate…it will be ok.  There is much worse things going on in the world, that is what I keep telling myself cause it's true…and unfortunately you have to read about it.  There I have vented, let me drink some more coke…slurp!! There that is better.

I did get my cupcakes all baked, and Jeff and Eric (and me) all sampled one to make sure they were edible.  Yum, and we had them without frosting.  I wanna do that in the morning…while the rest of the room gets done…hours before people are supposed to arrive…let me eat one more piece of chocolate…gulp!

016 copy
Don't these look yummy?  I hope everyone likes them, I am going to try to put a little filling in them before I frost and decorate them.  My fingers are crossed.

One of the cards that everyone will be making is this cute card that I was inspired by a card I saw on Splitcoast by passionflower.

007 copy
I love this set and it is a Sale-a-Bration set so it is only available with a $50.00 order and only until the end of March, as that is when Sale-a-Bration ends.

005 copy
Stamp Set: So Happy for You, Sweet Summer

Paper: Subtles DSP pack, Whisper White, Wild Wasabi, Marina Mist

Ink: Jetblack Stazon, Daffodil Delight, Sahara Sand, Wild Wasabi, Marina Mist

Misc: Eyelet border punch

So I better get off here and finish dusting, I pulled everything off my red shelf to dust, but was waiting to do it after Mark left figuring he would kick up more dust…but well he is coming in the morning instead now…did I mention that? Ha!

Have an awesome Saturday, if you are coming to my Open House, I am hoping all will be done and if not, I still got plenty of chocolate…

Thanks for stopping in!

Good Luck tomorrow (today?) Di! And yes…chocolate really is its own food group so eat up! Great stress reducer too…unless of course you eat all the cupcakes and have to bake more……..
The card looks like a lot of fun…your gals are going to have a blast! And who knows when he sees all the fun being got ready maybe Mark will stay and stamp – after having finished all your work to perfection of course!

Hugs and sending calm thoughts your way – Jean

The cupcakes look yummo! Good luck on your Open House today. Sure wish I could be there. Everything will be great and if it's not finished then everyone will just have to come back to see the rest of it later. They really only want to come to see you anyway and all the fantastic SU goodies you have to share. Can't wait to hear about it later. Got a card class myself this morning so gotta go blow the stink off and give the dog a bath as well! Ha!

You can do it, you can do it. I know it will be a success even if it is not finished. Don't stress too much.

It's Saturday morning–about 7:10 your time….hope all the work is getting done and you are feeling less stress and saving chocolate time for those yummy looking cupcakes. I'm sure all the people coming to your open house will LOVE what you've done whether it's totally finished or not. Love the card–I'm off to make one similar. Have a great day!!

I'll be there in a few hours and can't wait to make this darling card! Don't stress over the small stuff; your studio is gorgeous just the way it is and beats the socks off of my little cluttered studio

Good luck today…wish I lived closer..would love to see the new craft space in person. Everything will work out fine…it's kind of like those home makeover shows…they are always down to the last minute and pull it off just in time for the Open House!

Mmmmmm….those cupcakes look so good!! Last night must have been stressful for everyone!! I wanted to have some chocolate to decrease my stress level, but my hubby said no. 🙁 I know he's trying to be nice and help me watch my weight, but sometimes a girl needs chocolate!!! I may have to sneak a piece today!! Haa, haaa!!! LOVE this card! It's so fresh and spring-y looking!! Have fun today!

Have an extra cupcake for me, since I can't be there to eat it. No matter if everything isn't completely finished, your girls won't care. Although that sounds a lot like me, when it comes to wanting everything just so, and finished on time. I'm a bit anal that way 🙂
Can't wait to see the photos of the finished room. Have fun with your class.

Your cupcakes look perfect, the last ones I made did not look that good, one of them looked like it had an elephant head. lol. The card is beautiful. Good luck with your event. I am now following you from SC, if you could follow me that would be great.

The people who are lucky enough to be able to come to your open house WON'T CARE whether things are dusted just right and whether everything is finished and in place. Just relax and enjoy the day, that's what all your guests will be doing. A very cute card, I'm amazed that you took time to post it when you have so much else going on.

Can't wait to hear how it went…although I am sure it will be great. I also wish I was close enough to come over. And your card is so clean and crisp and sweet…those are my favorite colors together. I believe I may just have to make one like it! Enjoy your evening after your big day…and have some more chocolate! 🙂

    Sweet Diana,
Please don't stress about the few little tasks that are getting done a little later than you'd hoped for. Just bow your head, and thank God that you've had beautiful people doing them for you. We all love you the same, whether we're out here reading about your good fortune, and only getting to see it in photos, or fortunate enough to actually partake in your open house. Stepping over a few moldings, or hearing someone carefully nail in the last piece of trim won't bother us at all.
    Hugs!
