When Carol (hey honey!) came to my Open House I told her I wanted to do one day a week where I copied a card or project out of the catalog or mini catalog but I wanted to name it something that started with the day name, there is no day that starts with "C" so I couldn't use the word copy, so we were just gabbing about it. So later she emailed me and said Mimeograph meant copy so that was perfect so Mimeograph Monday was born and this is the first day it'll "hatch" ha!
In fact mimeograph is I think what they used at school years ago to make photocopies and I remember helping sort paper and it smelled so good, and it seemed almost damp. Do you remember that?
So this cute card is from the Idea Book & Catalog and it is on page 48. I did not have any of the white thread so I skipped that and instead I put some "fake thread" with my faux stitching. I also used different polka dotted DSP as I did not have what the recipe called for and I added some white gel pen as a highlight and shaded the chick and the egg, and colored the beak, but basically it is the same card. I just gave it the Diana touch. Neat eh?
Paper: Baja Breeze, Whisper White, Soft Suede, Daffodil Delight, Riding Hood Patterns DSP
Ink: Jetblack Stazon, Daffodil Delight, Riding Hood Red, Soft Suede, Pumpkin Pie
Misc: Paper Piercer tool, mat pack, white gel pen, blender pen, dimensionals
The card is a 4×4.
So today at class I made sure to have Jeff take a picture so you could see how I set up the studio for my My Digital Studio class.
I just moved the tables in a row like a classroom, and I sat at my desk with my laptop plugged into the bigger monitor so the girls could see what I was doing and so they could follow along with their laptop. This was just a beginners class but it was fun and I think everyone enjoyed it and definitely learned more then they knew before.
Smile for Jeff girls!! Too fun!
Did you know that Stampin' Up! has a group that anyone can join to learn more about My Digital Studio? There are pictures, and tutorials and all sorts of stuff, you can sign up here. Did you also know that every Tuesday new downloads are added? Yep, just head over to my store and check them out.
Check out these two crazy girls…
…Connie and Donna! When Donna emailed me about class she mentioned she was getting over a cold, and me being the germafobe and not able to take antibiotics I asked her if she was contagious, and she said no she was fine. So when the girls came this morning they walked into the house wearing masks, I thought I was gonna pee my pants, but instead I grabbed my camera, those brats! I love you two, you know that. Mwah!! Another reason I am so thankful that Stampin' Up! came into my life, all the people I have met over the years, either in person or online, I would never have met you if it was not for Stampin' Up! and the friendships are priceless I tell ya!
Well I am gonna clean up and call it a night, have an awesome Monday and thanks for stopping in!
