Today was a fun day, I had my workshop in the morning, there were close to 43 people there. It was fun and I think the girls enjoyed doing the card I showed you yesterday, it went fairly fast considering they had to be patient while stamps, punches, brads and stuff came around to them. They are a fun group and I got to meet some new faces too.
Tonight Mark dropped off a couple drawers and am hoping for the rest on Friday as well as some upper cabinets. The poor guy is still not totally feeling well. I make sure to go around with my Lysol after they leave…did you really think I wouldn't? Ha!
You might recognize this card from this post. I had the card guts laying around from the class and I have been wanting the set Engraved Greetings for a while and was so excited I could get it for FREE! How did I get it for FREE? Well it is one of the sets you can pick out of the catalog when you order $50.00 before tax and shipping. I love Sale-a-Bration!
I used a mini vintage tag cause I can't find my jewelry tag punch, I am hoping that Rhonda by accident has mine in her stuff from our Spring Fling event, otherwise I'll have to track it down elsewhere. I need it for this weekend's class so my fingers are crossed and I'm trying not to freak out. It's too late to order another one.
Stamp Set: Engraved Greetings, Tiny Tags
Paper: Basic Black, Very Vanilla, Love Letter DSP
Ink: Jetblack Stazon
Misc: Mat pack, paper piercer, basic black marker, vintage tag, striped basic black ribbon, vintage trinkets
So tonight we had on American Idol so if you have not watched it yet, maybe don't read anymore. I was sad that Emily (she had the really unique voice) did not make it, and the girl that has the daughter with disabilites ( I don't remember names since we had not really got to know them super well yet) I had hoped they would have made it further. I was also hoping the young couple that used to be married would somehow both be picked and fall back madly in love with each other, but crap he got kicked off, I just wonder why did they pick a song he didn't know? Do they have to sing certain songs that someone else has picked out for them? I felt so bad for the young boy that the team kicked him off, I was almost hoping they would mess up so they got kicked off but they sounded good. I am not too sure with the 15 year olds being on the show, I really think it is too young, and then the whole thing with their Mum's there, I am undecided on that, although they all sang amazing. And the girls that sang around Steven Tyler, OMG wasn't he in heaven?
I also had on a replay of Worst Cooks of America and can hardly wait to see who wins Sunday, I was hoping Kelsey would have made it but oh well, she was a cutie, and am happy she will be able to cook for her hunter hubby. I just don't understand Chef Anne getting mad at Joshie for double dipping, I mean I would not want to eat something that a person has been sampling for taste and then the spoon goes back in the bowl, but have you ever watched Iron Chef? They do it all the time! So I guess I don't understand why it is allowed some places and not others, maybe cause Chef Anne is eating the food and not the judges on Iron Chef.
Well this old gal is headed to bed, I gotta get up early and get everything ready for my classes this weekend. Plus I gotta get to the grocery store.
Have an awesome Thursday and thanks so much for stopping in!
Pretty card! Sounds like a great workshop with 43! Hope you find your punch, that's frustrating. I was really hoping that those snobs that kicked the boy out would be terrible!! I think even the judges were disappointed at how good they were. That young kid handled it much better than I think most would. I was glad to see the one that couldn't find a group go home. She was a jerk. I don't have a favorite yet either.
Maybe cause the chefs on Iron Chef have Iron stomachs too and they don't get sick from eating someone else's germs after they double dip!!!!
Luv ya

Di, I bet you're going crazy waiting for all your cabinets to be finished, they look amazing and can't wait to see it all together!
Loved the projects from the spring fling, bet they all had a blast!
I've been watching worst cooks all along and really don't know how Joshie is still there but I like him, lol. I thought kelsy would have won. But know can't even guess who it will be between George and Joshie! I'll be tuned in sunday night too!
TFS all you do!

Love the card. I have been eyeing that set too. Of course, there are lots of things I have been eyeing. I finally broke down and got the Sense of Time that everyone uses to make clocks. Now I have to sit down and make one. We are having dinner with Dean's son and daughter (and his ex wife and her hubby) tonight for son's bd. I have to make a card and I just am at such a block for a male card. I probably will end up just getting something online and doing a CASE. Have a great day.
