Love, Rosie

This 'n' That

7 Dec

DSCN3125 copy

I am reading the book "Love, Rosie" by Cecilia Ahern. She is the author of the book "PS I love You" that was made into the most beautiful movie that I cry every time I see it.  You know what I bet I can cry right now thinking about it. Yep, there comes a tear…now stop that. Anyway, I love the "Love, Rosie" book, it is totally different then "PS, I love you", but still has the funny humor in it, but the way it is written is we are reading letters, emails, chat room stuff, so it is kinda like, what is the word? I gotta look it up…voyerurism, but not in a dirty way.  Cause we are reading the personal mail and stuff to learn what is going on, anyway, it is so good and it is a fun way to write a book.  It is a fast read too. I have yet to read it out in public (my upside down glued book) to see anyone's reaction. Like they would even notice right?

So anyway tonight was my sweet friend and upline Rhonda's Christmas dinner, we met at Keegan's, MAMMa and I carpooled. We love having it there, the food is great, and the service is too, and they let us have the back room. So it was the Secret Santa and you made three cards, packaged it up and then we did it Elephant style or whatever where you can steal the present so many times.  Now I personally hate this part, I say in the words of MAMMa, "you git what you git and you don't pitch a fit" or somethig like that.  But anyway they agreed the gift could be stolen 3 times and then that was it.  So MAMMa was first and a few more people went and then next thing you know Sarah stole MAMMa's present, so then MAMMa stole someone elses and so on, I got the cutest little box dealie and cards that Sarah made and I'll be darned if it got stolen, so then I stole Sarah's which originally was MAMMa's and that meant it was mine for keeps as I was the third person.  It was nuts I tell ya.  So anyway.  I will tease you today with the beautiful box my cards came in. Oh and the artist behind it, sweet Jan Jew, she is a talented girl.  Thanks Jan! I'll milk it as long as I can and show you the cards in another post. I know, Bad Di!

Can you believe how gorgeous the poinsettia is? It is a leaf from the stamp set French Foliage.

She even put a glitter brad in the filligree brad and gave it a whole different look.

The beautiful pearls in the center just finish it off.  Sorry for the coloring on this one.  Ugh my camera hates red.

So as much as I want to chat more, my head is saying "go to bed" it's 12:30am! It's tomorrow already.

Have an awesome Tuesday and thanks for stopping in!

Oh you tease. The box is really cute. I'm staring at it trying to figure out all the paper she used. Let me know what papers she used. Have a great and warm Tuesday. We are cold here in the midwest (teens this morning).

Thank you for the kind words Diana. It is truly an honor to have something I made posted on your blog. Last night was a lot of fun…we should do that more often.

My stamp club (not SU) has a Chinese gift exchange at our December meeting and we have an hysterically good time. We also do our card exchange and a tag swap. It's this Monday, when we get back from Alabama. First time in years I get to go. Cecelia Ahern. Have to make a note of it.

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
