…I wouldn't want to be there now. Look at the link my sister Jacqui (who has to drive in that every day) sent me.

What a mess! I can't imagine. Well I kinda can cause of our two and a half days we were stuck in Tucumcari a few years ago coming back from having Christmas in Illinois but I wouldn't wish this on anyone. It was kinda cool seeing a cousin of mine Scott Lightfoot as he reported, plus it is neat seeing the old newscast commentator that I remember watching as a child.
Today I had so much fun at the cookie exchange that Nancy and Lois hosted (it was at Nancy's but I think they hosted together even though Lois was saying no), we had some tasty finger sandwiches in Christmas shapes and I even drank tea. I felt all grown up. It was nice to see everyone. I know the cookies won't last long at my house.
I was messing around with my blog and I have wanted to add a search button and didn't know how, little did I know how easy it would be, I just did a search in Typepad and found the answer, so now on the top right you can add a word and hit search and it will find posts with that word. Cool eh?
I have been getting all my Christmas cards ready so I didn't have time to stamp, plus I got a danged old migraine this afternoon and took one of my pills and laid down, so I am going to share a beautiful card I got in a swap, or wait I didn't swap, so what do I call it? I call it a love swap, they were saying pity swap but I think love swap sounds better. Elizabeth Martinez made this gorgeous card and she was one of the sweet girls that love me and gave me a card even though I didn't have a swap done. Gotta love those girls.
Paper: Basic Black, Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla, Newsprint DSP
Ink: Basic Black, Cherry Cobbler
Misc: Antique Brads, Decorative Label punch, Jewelry tag punch, Vintage wallpaper Embossing folder, Victoria crochet trim
I love all the details she did on the card, you gotta love the vintage style.
Well I better get off here, my downline shoebox pizza party is Saturday and I need to get my swap done.
Have an awesome Thursday and thanks for stopping in!
Great Day! no thank you on the weather your sister is having. I live in the Seattle, WA area and we get enough, but that is over the top with snow!
I LOVE your card, actually all your work. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful talent with all of us.
Inky Hugs,
Cristena Bagne
Canada is much better today. The plows have been out most of yesterday and last night. The 402 is still closed though as they are still working on getting all the vehicles that were stuck on the stretch of highway out and back to their owners. We are still expecting some snow today, but only 2cm so that is just a dusting compared to what we have had so far. We certainly will have a white Christmas. I need to get out with my camera and take some pictures of all the white stuff! I will take some pictures tomorrow cause we are going in for the Tree party at the nursing home.
Luv ya
Jax
And I complain about the ice storm we had in the middle of the night? Hush my mouth…. I am in a warm house with food a great dog and a hubby (he can't get into work). I love that card. It has really taken me a long time to come around to the vintage look but then I see something as great as this and go WOW. Got any extra cookies? Roscoe and I love cookies.
Carey and Roscoe (who is enjoying all the cold weather with his double coat)
That's what happens when you're from the great white north. I'm from western Canada and remember being stuck on the highway with my BFF's family for several hours. We thought it was real exciting! Maybe get an extra day off from school ! Now that I live in the states, one little storm and everyone panics! Anyway, I love your swap card. She did a lovely job .
Canada misses you !!!! Come and get some of this snow, girlie…it's just waitin' for ya !!! 🙂 🙂 🙂
I live just east of Toronto and its not that bad if you live near Toronto. We've had snow, but not too much accumulation. I hate the cold though! Not even winter here yet!
Love your card today, so pretty!
