Dorrie’s Prrrfect Card

This 'n' That

21 Dec

Dorrie's card close

So today I did the last of my Christmas shopping or so I thought. Eric gave me a wish list about a week or so ago, the big item I got already but he needs some smaller items, and he had some Batman DVD's on his list. So I go to the store and I am looking all over, I ask the guy and he is not sure, and points me to some but they are not what he wants,  I check a couple stores. So finally tonight I said "Eric, where did you see those movies on your list?" and he says "online" and I am like oh for Pete's sake.  You can't give me a list a week and a half before Christmas and NOT tell me that the stuff on it are online stuff.  So I told him that we may be getting these after Christmas, he just laughed. Well he won't be laughing Christmas morning if he does not have anything to open.

I did wrap all the stuff I have got so far, Toby has given a few things, and the girls have also given some things…ha!

I also picked up all the food for Christmas dinner. Jeff wants to make Jayne's cheese bread and I forgot about that, so he will have to run to the store to get that stuff.  If I have to go in one more store before Christmas I think I will scream.

I got my swap all done for Robin, so those will go in the mail. I also need to get my FLICKs cards done, so I can get those in the mail too.

I got orders from Carey (Roscoe's Mum) to take a break from blogging and enjoy Christmas. Well I know I will be sharing Christmas cards we have received so I will have a bit of a break, but I do love to do my blog post, it's like a nightly ritual.

Today I wanted to share with you this amazing card I got from Dorothy (Dorrie) Black.

Dorrie's card full

Her coloring is amazing, I mean look at the cats, they all have their own personality…and I love all the things she did on the card, the way she did the music paper, the initial on the kitty's song books, all of it and I love that she wrote the card to the whole family, and signed it from her whole family.

Thanks Dorrie, I love it.

Carey also said she has not seen a picture of Eric lately, and I am like yeah she was right, so this is a pretty recent one, he hates getting his picture taken about as much as Toby does. I had to practically beg him to take this one, and he looks so handsome.

Eric
Well I better sign off, my hearing aid battery just died in the left ear and the right one is beeping as that one will be dieing soon too. At least they are consistent, but I swear that I used to get a week out of the batteries and I don't anymore. Not sure if it is the batteries or the hearing aids.

Have an awesome Tuesday, and thanks for stopping in!

OK if you promise that blogging isn't work that is taking away from having fun for Christmas. I have to say though I really enjoy reading about what is going on in your life. You got Eric to let you take a picture!! What a cutie patootie he is. Thank him from me. Dorrie your card is amazing. Thanks for sharing it with us Diana. I'm with you on the store thing. I went to Walmart for the umpteenth time this morning after work for just one little more of a present for someone. I don't want to see the inside of a store for quite a while. Anyway thanks for sharing with us.

I love Dorrie's card, too. What is Jayne's cheese bread and wow, Jeff makes it! Russel likes to play with our bread machine. Even I can hear the squeal when a battery dies! I get mine at Walgreen's when they have them buy one, get one free! They last about a week or more. One died in the Publix last night and I just turned it off till I got home. Who wants to be putzing with batteries in a grocery store! ((()))

Thanks Di, for posting my card. I feel like I have had my 15 minutes of fame. Thanks for the nice comments too!

Enjoy your holiday. I hope you slow down a bit and take care of yourself.

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
