Can it really be 19 days until 2011? Where has this year gone? I wonder if this will be the year I don't procrastinate? Can I keep my files up to date each month instead of scramble to get them done at the end of the year? Get up early and shower right away instead of getting in my studio and starting to work and then realize oh crap it's 10am and I am still in my jammies and Curtis the UPS man or Carl the Postman is knocking at the door? Will I stick to a schedule and do the same thing each week? Who knows. I sure hope so.
Today I worked on a whole lotta owl calendars, these little guys are different colors then I did before, and I think they turned out adorable.
What a mess eh? But it's a colorful mess.
Finally getting them put onto the bases. I actually will forever look at these little owl calendars and think about the movie "Did you hear about the Morgans?" cause it was on while I was doing this part. Oh and Sam Elliot is in that movie, that man just makes me prrr…yum! Jeff knows I have a big old crush on Sam so it's ok.
Just having fun taking the pictures, I just love the colors. This was using the Build a Bear DSP and they are so cheery.
Oh and I found my Banner and Watermark file folder, somehow when I yanked it over into that little drive thingie to move them onto my laptop, I made it go inside another folder, so I had to search for it and then fix it…yikes! Wonder what else I messed up?
There they be, I still have to add the rhinestone eyeballs, and attach the magnets to the back and then these little babies are ready to go.
Oh I also saw a commercial for the new Little Fockers movie and I think the little boy on there looks like he might be the little brother of the kid from Two and Half Men, I need to google it.
Oh and I was wondering, I have these pair of Lucky jeans, I got forever ago and well I just noticed today that in the zipper part of the pants, it says Lucky You. So as I was reading that I was thinking, do they mean Lucky You as in "me" for having these pants? or do they mean that lets say your hubby happens to be looking as you get undressed and he reads Lucky You as you unzip your jeans, is the message for him? Cause I am thinking, if it's for him then how rude of the jean company to just assume ya know? Cause you know what assume means right? It makes an "ass" out of "u" and "me".
Excuse me while I go get undressed in the closet so my hubby doesn't read my jeans and get the wrong idea…ha!
Well that's it for me today, I got up bright and early and showered by 7:30am, Shelli from Stampin' Up! was gonna be on the Today show and I didn't want to miss it. Here is the link. She was on for about 2 minutes, and I saw some SU! signs in the streetside audience. As soon as she was done I high tailed it out for errands to get back home cause I knew I would be working on the calendars all day.
Have a great Tuesday and thanks for stopping in!
OMG….You sound just like me, but, I'm much worse. I get so involved in my crafts or really any projects and it might be 5 or 6pm before I even realize I'm still in my pjs. Well, by then I figure why even bother getting dressed now (I live alone so no one really sees me). I've even got the delivery men so well trained that generally they'll just put the boxes over the gate. They're so wonderful. Now, if I have to sign for something….then they get a surprise….I'm in my pj's.
I just love your writing & stories. Keep doing what your doing…it's PERFECT!!
Love ya, Mary in Kingman, AZ
Hi Diana
I love those calendars!! The owl is adorable!! I have been searching online to purchase some of those small calendars for a project I had in mind, but have been unsuccessful. Would you be willing to share your source ? Thanks for keeping us entertained.
Hey thanks for putting the Shelli video link on for us. I didn't have a chance to see it. I love the owls, way too cute. I have seen so many wonderful things to do with that punch. It took me a long time to decide to buy it but I am so glad I finally broke down. Say hi to Toby and the girls from Roscoe.

I read your blog every day because you make me smile! BUT today, you made me LAUGH!! I love your sense of humor and your creativity! I'd love to have a cup of caffeine with you if I lived closer!
Baby these little owls are a HOOT! I love the cheery colours!!! I'd arm wrestle you bare naked for some alone time with Sam…….he's hotter than a Jalapeno! I've loved him FOREVER………. and well, I'll keep the comments on the zipper script to myself. Hope you and Jeff and Eric and all the critters have an AMAZING Christmas! Love yoU!

Hi, Di! I just love to visit you! You make me smile!
I love me some Sam, too! I imagine him 'whispering' in my ear! hehehehe *also, my hubby has a pretty good whisper-er, too!*
I LOVE your owl calenders!
I am curious though, what you will do with that many? I LOVE to make multiples of stuff, but, you have me beat!
Anyway, just curious!
P.S. I have a secret!
Someday, I would LOVE to meet you in person, since, I'm in AZ! hehehe
You never know!
OH!!! I love me some Sam too!!! His voice just makes me melt!!!
Love the owls. My boys had sheets almost exact to that plaid print when they were little. Good memories!!!
I too find myself in my pj's late in the day. But, if I have to run out, I cn now be ready in 30 mins. LOL
Your jean story made me laugh out loud!!! I do think that zipper pull message is for someone "looking" where they shouldn't be or the one wanting to take them off. Too funny that you noticed that. LOL
Hi Diana ! Love the owl calendars !! They are really cute. I have been trying to locate the little calendars online , but have been unsuccessful. Would you be willing to share your source fir them ?
I absolutely love your calendars. 🙂 I now have a good use for the rest of my Build a Bear dsp–owl bellies! One question though, how do you make the scallop base for your calendar?

As always, I'm smiling as I finish here. And the owls are just terrific. Love the bright, cheerful colors. I too like Sam but my favorite "oldie" is still Tom Selleck.
OMG, I LOVE THESE! I think I've just found a project for my January Stamp Camps (I hope you don't mind!)
Where did you get the calendars? I got some a few years ago, but I've forgotten where. ;/
Thanks!
Wow! Love your owls. the colors are great!! You build like I do…get it all cut and punched and start a big old assembly line.
Oh and by the way, I hate to be the bearer of bad news but Sam is taken….By me, tee-hee! He just makes me sigh…..Thanks for the big ol' smile!
Cute project!!
Thanks also for posting the link for Shelli. What a letdown!!! Can you believe she flew all the way from Utah for that? I would be so mad if I were her, but I know that she is so sweet and gracious, that she would never utter an unkind word…but durn!!! I wonder if she had to pay for the plane ticket–or if The Today Show paid for it? I guess that if The Today Show paid for it, then, I guess what the heck–free trip.
Go ahead and let your hubby read your zipper!!!
LY!

DARLING idea for the calendars!! I have a stack of calendars here staring at me, Ugh I just need to get Christmas over with first. GOOD FOR YOU for being AHEAD of the game!
I just love reading your emails. It's interesting to hear about your family. Thank you for all your stamping ideas. They are geat!!
These are such cute little calendars. Would love one to put on my fridge! As for Sam Elliot, I even watched a schmaltzy Hallmark special, November Christmas, because he was in it.
Ha – I was watching that movie while I was stamping yesterday too!! And I forgot that Sam Elliot was in the movie until I had my head down stamping and I heard his voice and my uterus did a somersault!!
Sam Elliott…oh yeah, that would be my crush too. 🙂 Great owls. I have to get a couple of these done for some friends. LOVE your color choices. HAppy! And the cookies you just posted??? I HAVE to make my friend make them. 🙂
Love your project girl. And thanks for the calendar. I thought I had left a comment yesterday, but guess I did not. Thanks for sharing so much.
The owl punch has got to be one of the best punches that Stampin Up has created. These look so cute with the calendar. Would you share where you can get these? I love watching every show that Sam is in. He's such a cute actor.
Thanks for sharing the cookie recipe. I think I'm going to have to make a batch of those for Christmas.
