I said I would tell you the story about the mugs. My sweet antique hunting friend Sharon sent me a photo of those cute mugs she found at her local grocery store, and I was like oh wow what size are they? and she told me and I realized they would work perfect for my club girls and I could put their initial on them. So I have the same grocery store by me. In fact I have two of them, one has more stuff then the other but the store Sharon got them at was the regular one. So I drive on over there and can't find them. I look all over the store. Sharon gives me the UPC code off of it, and the girl at customer service said they can't look things up like that. I am thinking ok whatever, I guess I don't know anything. So I headed over to the other store, and same thing, none to be found. One of the stock girls asked if she could help me and I told her and she put the UPC code in her hand held thing (she just raised her eyebrows when I said the other store said they couldn't look things up that way – I think the eyebrow raise meant perhaps I do know some things after all). But somehow the code was not coming up. So I called Sharon back and she said she would zip over to her store and grab me some. So she did, she went to two stores even. What a doll eh?
So a couple days later I am at my store, and I walk by the cereal aisle end cap and guess what I see? No, not Snap Crackle & Pop dancing on the shelf with Count Chocula (although I did hear they are auditioning for Season 12 of Dancing with the Stars). I saw the dang mugs, all four colors. Plus on another end cap there was soup bowls too. Now it was my turn to take a picture and send it to Sharon, we both got a good laugh about it. So now you know the mug story. It is funny how Sharon and I are like that, she will show me something and then I want it, and I will show her something and she wants it too. It's been shoes, purses, pyrex dishes, and I am probably missing something. Too fun! Love ya girl!
So when I stopped over at MAMMa's last week to say hi to the girls at class, I fell in love with this Christmas card, so I wanted to do it for my Stamp a Stack of Christmas cards. MAMMa had a trinket pin hanging on her ribbon, but if you remember yesterday's card the class girls are already using the pin on the snowman card, so I used pearls instead.
After I took the picture I wondered what they would look like if I put the pearls on the tree instead? Hmmm…
Stamp Set: Contempo Christmas, Welcome Christmas
Ink: Jetblack Stazon, Old Olive
Paper: Basic Black, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Deck the Halls DSP
Misc: Ornament punch, pearls, Victoria Crochet trim
Isn't this a pretty card? Thanks MAMMa!
Another thing Sharon has got me back to doing is…well not exercises which I should be doing. Oh man I am not even going to tell you how much weight I have put on, I am back to where I started when I wanted to lose when I was doing the Shupe Diet…ha! Bah Humbug!
Anyway, it's this…
…a crock pot! Oh and she also got me using a crockpot liner…this makes cleaning up the crock pot so much easier.I used to use it all the time and then kinda forgot about it, so I used my old one the other day and then I got this brand new one with a timer at the store, and used it today to do a pot roast. Even though I work from home I don't know why I don't use it more often. So I am going to start using it all the time. Cause then I know we will eat out less, save money and maybe lose weight. I am going to go get a second one cause I have some amazing desserts that cook in the crock pot too. Yeah notice I go from gonna lose weight to dessert…ha!
I want to Welcome some new girls to my team. Joyce, Karel, Judy & Jan. I am so excited to have them join my Di's Country INKers family.
If you have been thinking about joining Stampin' Up! I would love to talk to you about it. The kit is half off right now, it's only $87.50, but you wanna hurry, that price ends on November 30.
Well I am gonna hit the hay, I got almost all my cards cut for my class, I have some card stock not here yet and ribbons, but then it'll be all done when my order gets here…yeah!
Have an awesome Wednesday and thanks for stopping in!
Loved your crock story! What's up with the bag in the crock pot? A cooking bag for ease of cleaning? Neat. I use my crock pots often. Pea soup is calling out to me if it ever cools off down here. Mid-80's in late Nov. is the pits. Here's a link to a cool crock pot blog: http://crockpot365.blogspot.com/ Congrats to your four new downlines.
K..colour me stupid..but what's up with the plastic bag inside the crock pot? You have food in there right? Ain't it gonna melt? I have a really good recipe for crockpot hashbrown casserole – they are yummy!
Luv ya
Jax
Hi Diana: My full time job allows me to work at home and I use my crockpot ALL the time. It's so easy and everything turns out well! I have a Taste of Home Crock pot recipe book, and I highly suggest that. Great card-love using the punch like that!!! Thanks for sharing and Happy Thanksgiving!
I love my crock pot! I use it a lot in the winter–so great for soups and stews.
Don't know if you are serious about the diet thing or just kidding, but I've been doing Weight Watchers since late September and am down almost 13 pounds already. (Not that I'm tooting my own horn–just to say that it's been working for me). I'm just doing the online thing because who has time for meetings, but if you are interested, it is a nice way to go.
Best,
Juliana
P.S. I think you look great, btw.
OK lovin' the card. You always come up with the cutest ideas. I know you did a CASE but yours really hums. I love my crock pot. Thanks Kathyn for the great website. I will be using some of the recipes. Have a wonderful day tomorrow if I don't get to the site. We are having family over (after me sleeping till 2 since I will be working nights for 2 in a row). It is going to be a wonderfully busy weekend including the bi-annual Detjen sisters retreat that includes lots of stamping and projects in the stamp tree house. We are going to make those great mugs with the Decorative Elements for Christmas. I can't wait.

Di – I would like to recommend the following blog for some wonderful crockpot recipes: crockpot365.blogspot.com. A couple of years ago she used her crockpot the entire year and blogged about it. She has main meals, desserts, even some craft projects have been done in her crockpot!
Annette
P.S. Enjoying my tin of buttons I'd ordered from you, thanks!
