Today I ran errands and picked up a few groceries.  I got some rice pudding the other day, and it said gluten free.  I'm like cool, I'm all for free. But what the heck is gluten?  So I had me a bowl and holy heck is that stuff thick, I felt like the lunch lady slapping down that spoonful of slop.  Gluten can't be glue, cause it really was thick like glue and it said gluten free.  I don't remember rice pudding being thick like that before.  I sprinkled some cinnamon on it, and ate it, it tasted just fine.  Toby sat on the floor begging so I thought ok I will give him a little tiny taste off the end of the spoon, I pretend he's a baby eating off my spoon…so then I was laughing so hard cause he looked like he was Gene Simmons from KISS, his tongue was going and going and going trying to get that rice pudding ate up, it was sticking out so far.  Then he was ready for more. I know dogs are not supposed to have people food, but once in a while we do. Not chocolate or onions or things dogs can't have but a nibble of stuff that won't hurt him is ok.

So today I met with another person to get a bid on my stamp room, this man was so sweet, he reminded me of my Poppa, and he also has a connection to Johnny Cash like I do, so that was cool too.  He even had some great ideas too for the cabinets.  He is going to see if he can work it into his schedule.  It might take till the end of January till it is all the way done, but we are thinking get the cutting side wall done by the end of December cause the other wall is workable right now. So I'll keep you in the know as to what is going on.  I had initially wanted to go with the almond shabby chic on the cabinets, but that is expensive. So this guy says that as he makes the cabinets, if I want to do that to them I certainly can, he gave me a piece of wood to play with so we will see.  Any suggestions? Leave it natural wood? or distress it? Jeff was actually saying he could distress it, and then just stain it. There are ideas flying all over the place…ha!

So since I was gone most of the day, I didn't get anything stamped so I pulled out some more Founder's cards, and I wanted to share this one with you.  This is a card made by my dear friend Mandy Grant, she was the first face I recognized in the airport in Salt Lake City, so it was nice to get to know her better, and even share my shoes.

Thanks for the beautiful card Mandy!

Stamp set: Broadsheet Alphabet, Jolly Bingo Bits

Paper: White natural, Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, Riding Hood Red

Ink: Basic Black, Old Olive, Riding Hood Red

Misc: Satin Old Olive ribbon, 1 1/4" circle punch, scallop trim border punch, rhinetsone

Well I got my PayPal button fixed so that if you don't live in the United States and you want to purchase my Water Coloring with Ink Refills PDF you can.  I had a few of my Canadian friends email saying they couldn't do it.  I called PayPal and I had my settings wrong.  Sorry about that, you are all set now. Thanks so much!

Well I better hit the hay, its almost 11:11.  I think of Poppa and Granny when the clock says 11:11.  Granny always read till that time, and when Poppa passed away, when we took his ashes to the cemetery, when we all got back in the car, it said 11:11, and I was like Poppa was sending a message to Granny.  Oh well that's just me. My weird little things.

Have an awesome Friday and thanks for stopping in!

Signature white 5

You are so hilarious… Hey I have a connection of sorts to Johnny Cash too….LOL I never met him in person but my brother-in-laws brother was engaged to Carlene Carter at one time. He went to Johnny Cash's house to eat dinner one night and he thought they would be eating steak w/the works. Well, June came out of the kitchen with a huge bowl of chicken and dumplings….LOL My brother-in-law's brother was one of the original Georgia Satellites. Then he played with Kenny Wayne Sheperd for a while. We grew up together and speak often….. So I have a connection in a round-a-bout way!!!

Hey there! I do not think that my sister-in-law (Kim) can go to Leadership this year. Do you happen to know anyone that might need to share a hotel room? I really want to go, but am nervous about staying alone. I really am not a stalker LOL! I even teach third grade so they allow me alone with children ha! Just let me know asap so I can sign up! Thanks Di….Dana Wilkerson

Diana, Gluten is a protein found in wheat, barley and rye. It is the GLUE that holds most breads together. If you can't have gluten, you would really appreciate the rice pudding or anything else that says gluten free. Ask me how I know 🙂

I say go with the Poppa guy. Can you believe it will be 13 years on the 17th since Poppa passed? Where has the time gone.
    Luv ya

My sister refinished my nephew's dresser. She painted it green and then rubbed it down with brown shoe polish. It looked great. Maybe you can try that technique on your piece of wood. If you want more info, I'll get the details from her. Just email me.

Too funny to read the additional posts! Went to sign up for leadership today and did not make it in as I am just a Supervisor 🙁 I am so going to step it up for next year so that I have can attend. Loved going to Phoenix, but REALLY wanted to see Nashville! I look forward to any encouragement that you can give!

Whenever I look at a digital clock, I see dates. Birth dates, holiday dates, and death dates. My husband thinks I'm…..weird. It has been that way for as long as I can remember. I'll look at a clock and if it's 2:17, I'll say happy anniversary to me or 11:20, Happy birthday to my husband. You get the picture…. Strange, I know.

Love your work and stories, Di. Your blog is one that I visit every day.

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
