Beautiful Simplicity

This 'n' That

1 Nov

DSCN2877 copy

Today was a lazy Sunday.  Ya gotta have one of those right? Even though I have tons of work, I just wanted to take it easy.  I got a shower late, I watched the Food Network most of the day, and even sat out with the girls in a lawn chair…ok I was in the lawn chair and the girls were in the coop, but it was fun watching them.  Three of them did that dirt bath, and I taped them with my phone but it was too big to email, so I will have to see how to convert it, or I will just have it for my pleasure.  I did take a few pics of the girls through the wire and will show you those.

But first another one of my favorite cards from Founder's Circle. This card was made by Sharon Armstrong and everyone that goes through my basket of cards picks this one out and is in awe of it.

Stamp Set: Many Merry Messages

Paper: Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla

Misc: Antique brad, Top Note Die, Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder

Simply gorgeous! Thanks Sharon for swapping such an amazing card with me.

I'll be picking the winning ticket from all the entries in October for the free stamp set and will be notifying the winner.

Wanna know the free stamp set of the month for November?  It's a two pack!!! It's "Birthday Bakery" (Level 1 Hostess set) and "Things I Love".  To earn a ticket to win these sets all you need to do is place an on-line order in my store from November 1 – November 30.  Place two orders, get two tickets and so on…it's that simple.   My online store is open 24-7, and you can find it here! Please make sure to log in as a new customer each time even if you have ordered from me before (this will prevent any cookie problems). I will pick the winning ticket on December 1.

So who wants to see the fun pictures I took of the girls? Well I think it was fun. I used my phone cause I can stick the eye of the camera inside the little square of the fencing and it was funny to see them checking it out. I have not figured out how to manually focus my big camera.

Clara: "I'm ready for my close-up, but I think I need a kleenex first, I have a bit of something in my nose."

Alice close
Alice: "Did I just hear a camera flash? Why did no one tell me we were getting our pictures taken today, I would have gone to the beauty parlor. Where's my comb? Oh wait, there it is on top of my head."

Gertie & Stella
Gertie: "Ya know when you get your picture taken, the camera sucks your soul inside?"

Stella: "Really? Well I'll stand behind you and hold on to your feet" (wink wink)

Gertie: "Thanks!"

Stella close
Stella: "Has anyone seen Gertie? No? Well I got dibs on her food."

I also played around with my bad girl camera on some of the different settings.  I went outside and took some of the flowers, this was on macro and is the lantana with the sun shining on it.

This was also on macro and this is a bouganvilla plant. Pretty eh?

This was on the super macro setting. You can't get any closer then that. How fun!

Well I am gonna sign off for now, I gotta put out a search for Gertie. Ha!

Have an awesome Monday and thanks for stopping in!

Great pics of the girls and loved the macro of the bouganvillea (or however that's spelled?). Hope you found Gertie!

Your pictures are gorgeous, especially the flowers. Wish I had those types of flowers where I live. The captions under the girls pictures are perfectly suited to the photos and really made me laugh. Have a great day!

I really miss my bouganvilla plants. We had two of them by the garage in CA but they certainly wouldn't thrive here in cold MO. Later this week the high is supposed to be 45. Darn, I miss the warm weather already. It will be back in about 4 months. I love the pics of the girls. I CASEd the card and made it into a welcome card for my new downline. I didn't put one of the buttons on it. I might run out and really need them some day LOL. Instead I stamped and punched something with the oval punches. I still think it turned out cute. Thanks for sharing the inspiration.

The girls are quite fetching, and the flowers are gorgeous! Lazy Sundays are AWESOME — glad you got to relax for a change.

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
