Antiquing Fun

3-D Items

4 Nov

Well Jeff might not think it is fun, but I do. Looking through booths of stuff, looking at what is stuck in this box, or that shelf.  Oh is this little box for sale that is holding these doilies?  Oh wow look at that piece of furniture. Oh my mouth is watering just thinking of it. If I lived in PA (and I had money to burn) I would have bought a bunch of stuff when my BFF Tracy and her cutie patootie hubby were antique shopping when I was there visiting.

So you can imagine how excited I was the other day when we went to get the truck washed and I saw a sign that said "Antiques". So I made Jeff, yeah that is what I said, I made him stop, he didn't want to, but I begged.  So I said I would just be a minute, (he sat in the truck) now he said it was 20 minutes, but really it felt like 5 at the most.

So I got these:

I already got em washed up and filled with goodies.

Then after lunch I wanted to go back and he said "don't be all day". Gotta love him. So he came in this time.

So then I went into the antique store across the way from the one I went into before, and I got these:

Fun old muffin tins to hold small items.

I also got this amazing box:

The little dealie thing on the front is broken but I don't care I won't be locking it.

DSCN2931 copy
I'm gonna put my sizzlits in it…for now… I mean I am always changing things.

If you know what the box was originally meant for, let me know. I was thinking maybe like a little lunch box or something. If it was for something gross, then just lie to me.

There were some awesome pieces of furniture too, and I know I will be going back often as they get new/old/new to them stuff all the time.

Well I am hitting the hay, and will chat more with you tomorrow.

Have a great Thursday and thanks for stopping in! You don't know how much it means to me that you do!

Signature white 5

At first I thought it was an English biscuit box……but I'm not sure.

Well to Tweek Jeff's Antiquing intrest, Ammo used to come in Old Metal Boxes, close to this type, but it would of been more heavy duty. Maybe he could look for one for you next time you MAKE him go into a Antique Store with you.
Steve wants to know if Jeff got caught carring a Basket Full of "Shit" for you!! Ha Ha !!!

Looks like a military ammo box that has been painted to me. Gives me great thoughts of what to do with the ones that hubby has in the basement 🙂
