A Christmas Wish…

This 'n' That

25 Nov

DSCN3052 copy

…hoping you have a great Thanksgiving!

One of the cards I got at Founder's Circle was this awesome card by Kelly Acheson (Hi Kelly, Beth told me you said hi!!) and I knew I had to do it for my Stamp a Stack of Christmas cards, it is beautiful and pretty easy. Plus it's one ink pad. You can't beat that when you are making 100 Christmas cards… or however many you make. Kelly used a different greeting and embossing folder, so I just changed it that much, so basically it's still Kelly's card.

DSCN3050 copy
Stamp Set: Scenic Season, Home for Christmas

Paper: Night of Navy, Whisper White

Ink: Night of Navy

Misc: Northern Flurry embossing folder, Dazzling Diamonds, 2 1/2" circle punch, 1" circle punch, Stampin' Sponge

To get the moon look.  Stamp your trees in Night of Navy on Whisper White cardstock.  Punch out with the 2 1/2" circle punch.  Using a 1" circle punch, punch out a piece of post it note paper, make sure to leave some of the sticky stuff on the back, that way it will stay on the cardstock when you sponge.  Put the post it note circle over top of the bird flying (this is why you left the sticky stuff on the back of the post it note). Using your stampin sponge, sponge Night of Navy ink over the trees, making sure to avoid the snow area under the trees.  When you get the desired darkness, remove the post it note circle and you will have a moon. Cool eh?

I hope you are enjoying your Thanksgiving day and you are all filled with yummy foods, and you have lots of family and friends around you.

Make sure you get lots of sleep, especially if you are one of those shoppers who get up at the crack of dawn for Friday.  If not, make sure you are back here tomorrow, you don't want to miss my post.

Have a great Thursday and thanks for stopping in!

Gorgeous!! Love the glitter on the trees! You have yourself a great Thanksgiving! I am celebrating on Saturday. More family could get here if we waited and afterall it's all about family. That makes today just a wonderful day of leisure for me. I'm going to get really inky before it's all over. A big thanks to you for sharing your time and creativity with us!

Great card … here's a tip too … if you don't have a post-it note, you can always use computer paper and Dotto from Stampin' Up!. It is a great temporary adhesive that is easily removable from your project using the adhesive remover eraser Stampin' Up! has.

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
