It’s a Double

3-D Items

Remember I showed you this huge egg that Alice laid the other day?

Well this morning I cracked it open to make myself some breakfast (there is nothing like a fresh egg…yum!)…and look what was inside…

…double yolks! Melissa (hey honey) was right!  I showed Jeff the picture and he was like "hey that's cool, did you eat it?" and I'm like "yep".

DSCN2795 copy
I melted some butter and in they went. The double yolk on the left from Alice and the singe yolk on the right from Clara.  The other girls have not started laying yet.

I buttered some toast and slapped those fried eggs on top, and gobble gobble (wait that's a turkey) oh well, I ate them up. Yummy! Yeah probably too much to eat for breakfast eh? But it is all I ate till supper time so that is ok then right? Huh?

If you check the egg count meter on the right hand side you'll see we have got 16 eggs so far! Cool eh? Added: Oh someone asked me where the egg count meter is, and it is off to the right hand side in the column but you have to actually go to my blog to see all the columns, they don't come through if you read my blog in your email box, or on a reader.

When I was at my BFF Tracy's she made me the coolest gift. This was a BFF picture holder that is wooden and was painted purple (she told me, cause I just saw it this way).  Steve spray painted it with I can't remember what she said but it looks like grey metal now. Way cool.

She took some pictures of us while I was there and she printed them all antique-y. Then she decorated it with our pearls and fleurettes.  She actually dyed the fleurettes in tea to age them.

How pretty eh? I got the Best BFF ever! Love ya girl!

I watched Dancing with the Stars tonight, and they had to dance to theme music and I am like who picks these songs? Cause poor Bristol got Hey Hey with the Monkees. Now I loved that show but this was odd music to have to dance to.  One song I did not realize how pretty it was, was the cop show song.  I can't remember the show. Maybe Hill Street Blues or something, but it was nice music.

Speaking of music, check out Tim Hawkins, he is hilarious, and he just proves you don't have to be vulgar to be funny.

Well that is it for me, I'm gonna hit the hay hay with the monkees.

Have an awesome Tuesday and thanks for stopping in!

Hey, hey, it's a double (egg)! Now you have to keep track of how many of the eggs are double – wonder if you can influence whether or not they lay double eggs more often…? The egg sandwiches look yummy! Mary L

What a beautiful tribute from a bestest buddy. That is so cool. What a yummy looking breakfast. I recently had bariatric surgery and can only eat a few bites of food now, but Dang those egg sandwiches look good:) I must have lost the egg count, cause those gals have sure been busy.

I think you are a funny lady…I enjoy reading your posts. Today I am sitting at work watching the Tim Hawkins video(s), and I had never heard of him before (I'm a Christian, why should I, duh)…and I am just laughing my head off at work with my headphones on, people are looking at me like I'm nuts…Thanks for sharing. You make my day more often than you know.

Wow, does a double yolker take me back!!! As a child growing up in the mountains in Kentucky one of my jobs was to gather the eggs every day. If we got a double yolker my mom would always say that was a "good luck egg". I hadn't thought about that in 40 years or more, soooo glad you reminded me of such a sweet memory.

Fix up some bacon and I am so there! Loved the Tim Hawkins video. Got married in 1977 and all those 70's songs were very big then. I even liked the hey hey Monkees!
