Robin Merriman asked me a few months ago to join her GoDivas, a special group of Demonstrators she has formed that swap once in a while. We had a swap at convention and it was nice to meet a lot of the ladies as I had only met them through their swaps but not face to face.
I was bad and didn't join the last one, I knew with the Founder's swap and my classes, plus the September to Remember event, my plate was too full to take on anything else, so I said no, I know I will kick myself now as the girls start showing their cards, but I know I definitely won't say no to the next one.
So when I was getting cards ready for my Stamp a Stack of Christmas cards, I found this cute card, and it was not Christmas it was like a wedding card, but it was easy enough to change it, I just used a snowflake stamp and a Christmas greeting and voila' it's Christmas, everything else is identical. So then I was like who was the artist behind this masterpiece, and I turned it over and it said hand stamped by Tara, and I was like OMG! no last name!!! No blog address!!! When did I get this swap? Was it at Linda's event? Was it from the GoDiva's? Did someone hand it to me? Yowza, so I put on my Sherlock Holmes hat and I headed over to the Stampin' Connection, a great forum for Stampin' Up! Demonstrators only and I plugged in the name Tara, and I only know one Tara and that is THE Tara Bazata, so I added a "B" after Tara and there her pretty face was, and I clicked on it, and checked out her gallery, and there was the card. Wow if only finding my Peach Parfait pad was that easy (I still don't know where it is).
So Tara thank you so much for the inspiration!! Everyone at class loved the card.

So today after brunch with MAMMa, Rhonda and Melissa, Rhonda, Mel and I shopped a bit, and then I ran some errands picked up a few things for my trip. I still have a few more things to get and then I can pack and be done. Right now I am washing the last of my clothes.
So my next bunch of days posts are gonna be sparse I will set them to go with cards and stuff, and then I will post from My Precious what has been happening while I am on vacation, I am so looking forward to going to my BFF's that I can't even think straight, it has been a couple years I think. I hope this thin Arizona blood won't freeze up with the cold weather.
I'm gonna sign off and get my other posts set to go, tomorrow night I have to go to bed really early so I can get up early.
Have an awesome Wednesday and thanks for stopping in!
Have a great time in Pa. Di. Gosh you are only a state away from me! So close and yet so far. I love this card and might have to case it for a class myself. I hope you have some lovely weather and I know you and your BFF probably won't really care as long as you are together hanging out! Can't wait to hear about your trip when you get back. Stay safe!
That card is beautiful – no wonder your girls loved it!
I'm jealous you are going to see Tracey! Give her big hugs from me!
Luv ya
Jax
I just love the way you have done this card. The embossing looks fab & the colours work well xx
So going to CASE this card as much as I can without those inks, that embossing folder, that DSP or that stamp set. LOL I can try the pottery technique and I DO have very vanilla satin ribbon. Wish me luck. Glad you figured out your inspiration. TYFS
LOVE this card! This color combo has been a long-time fav of mine … even tho I am drawn to the bright colors as I get older…. This is a beauty!!!!
Pretty card, Diana! (and Tara!) I may "borrow" this idea and tweak it a bit for my upcoming Christmas stacks! Thank you!
Kay
You are so sweet – and most welcome! Glad I could return the favor of inspiration. My Wild Wasabi pad must be hiding out with your Peach Parfait pad – silly kids!
You crack me up! Yes, it was THE Tara Bazata, the one and only and Yes, it was from GoDivas! She is awesome, but so are you and I'm sending you a big hug from rainy Virginia today!
MWAH!
Wishing you safe travels and hope you enjoy every minute of your vacation and your BFF!
