March of the Penguins

This 'n' That

10 Sep

DSCN2628 copy

Well maybe not a march, how about a two-step?  I totally fell in love with this card when I saw it.  I cased this from Merry Socha, and tweaked it only a tiny bit. Thanks Merry! What a fun card!

This is one of the cards from my Owl punch class.  What owl? Yep look how cute the owl is when you hack off his ears, he turns into a penguin…ha! You can almost see them waddling can't you?

Well Frank and Betty both went to the birthday party alone, and the birthday girl Tabitha thought it would be fun to play match maker. See how excited they are? I mean look at those blank wide eye stares, nothing like having no idea that this was going to happen, would it have been too much to ask for a little warning?  Frank can't even think what to say and can't believe he tied the balloon to his head, and Betty is all worried that the birthday hat makes her butt look big.  She is glad she is wearing her heart on her chest so hopefully that will keep Frank's attention, cause she also forgot to take her Beano before she ate…ooops!  She is very impressed with the pearl buttons on his shirt, that gives her hope, cause most of the guys that Tabitha hooks her up with don't even wear shirts, and well when you are a penguin, if you don't got a shirt on, you're pretty much naked.

I'll let you know how the date goes. Will Frank and Betty hit it off? To be continued…

OK Rhonda if you are reading this post, please look away…

When I went out to the backyard tonight this little guy had fallen into the stainless steel sink in the outside kitchen, and he couldn't get out.  I don't know how long he was in there, you should have seen the silly dance he was doing trying to get away from me, cause he could not get any traction at all.  So I finally got a hold of him being very careful not to frighten him enough to make him break off his tail. This is a thing they do so the prey will go after the tail and hopefully they can get away.  So I brought him inside to take a picture of.  He almost looks like a dinasour or something, and he hates to get his picture taken as much as Toby.

"Maybe if I close my see through eyelid she will go away, I'm thinking about being in my happy place!!". Ha!

I did let him go…

IMG_0178 copy
…see how happy he is?

Well that's it for me, I gotta get some more paper cut, and off to beddie bye for this old girl. Well not as old as I was yesterday, as I washed that gray right out of my hair today…take that Father Time!

Have a great Friday and thanks so much for stopping in!

OK, I was just howling with this story. Do penguins worry about party hats making their butts look big? I'm not sure we will ever know. I have seen so many cute things done with the owl punch, Santa, penguins, ghosts and don't get me started on what Ellen Kemper does with them on her site. You guys are all so talented. Thank heavens it isn't against the law to CASE things. I would really be in trouble.
That was nice of you to warn Rhonda about what was coming next. That little guy was lucky you found him. Such a kind person letting him go like that. Have a wonderful Friday and the rest of the weekend. Although, I bet you are going to be wild with doing classes and getting ready for Founder's Circle.

This card is darling! I love this punch! There are so many things to do with it besides an owl.

I don't think I could pick up this little guy. Maybe if I lived in AZ I would be used to them.

Oh dear you crack me up. If only you could print the stories for your cards in them somehow. The card and the story are adorable. So is the lizzard. I love them – one of my favorite animals.

Dianna—your penguin dating story had me crying laughing!! The part about him tying the balloon to his head…LMAO!! I may have to case this idea–my Grandma LOVES penguins and it's her birthday coming up in a couple of weeks
