…and my butt's numb. I have been sitting all day working on my Founder's Circle cards. I got all the paper cut last night. It was 1am but I was determined to get it done.
Of course I can't do a quick card, that just ain't me, so I have been punching, coloring, dimensionaling. Jeff was a sweetie and he did my Big Shotting with the embossing folder for me. He would not let me take his picture. I have had so many people offer to help, and I truly appreciate it more then you know, but I guess I feel that I should make them myself (Jeff helping me does not count). Now if I am still gluing on the plane I might be taking back those words…ha! I am waiting on my Cherry Cobbler 1/2" seam binding as I didn't have enough.
I hosted a Holiday Mini swap, I usually host one with my downline and a few other girls that I have met over the years whenever a new mini comes out. All the cards were in the other day so I had to get them sorted and in the mail.
I lay them out on the tables and then walk around giving everyone one card from each person until they are all done. Then they get put in their priority envelopes and off they go. I should have taken a picture of that stack. The mailman, I really need to get his name as he is here more often then the UPS man it seems lately. Now that I realized that he will pick up my priority packages if I request a pick up. Beats driving to the PO, remember those treks I would talk about with stacks and stacks of catalogs or what have ya…well that is in the past.
So if the girls got their cards to me by a certain date I would make a card as a bonus for them. I had 10 get here early and this is the one I did. I loved a swap card got I got from Danelle Henry and this is my version of it.
Paper: Basic Black, Cajun Craze, Whisper White, Wicked Fun Specialty DSP
Ink: Jetblack Stazon, So Saffron
Misc: Square Lattice Embossing folder, Bitty Bat Large punch, 1/2" circle punch
See the little yellow around the lamp post?
I just inked up an eraser on the end of a new pencil with the So Saffron ink and stamped it over top. Looks like the light is glowing eh?
So I would like to think that Aunt Flo arriving soon is the cause for a 3 pound weight gain, but I do think these are the culprit…
I made another batch yesterday, and I must say this batch was easier to make, I still made a mess but I knew what I was doing, plus I used the icing that was listed with the cinnamon roll recipe and look…
…I had just enough icing. I do think next time I will add some cream cheese to it. I also think that I am not going to double the cinnamon/brown sugar mixture next time, I think I will half double it, as I want to taste the roll more. It's like a work in progress, but really how can a family of 3 eat 14 cinnamon rolls in less then 24 hours? Oh. My. Gawd!!
Well this old gal is headed to bed, it's midnight and I gotta get back to my cards tomorrow. Our orders should be getting in for our September to Remember event so that all needs to be prepared too. Oh and a few of you have asked me about the event and isn't it on the same weekend as Founder's Circle? Well how about that for odds. Yes it is, so I will be at the September to Remember event in spirit only, as yes I will be at Founder's Circle that weekend.
Have an awesome Thursday and thanks so much for stopping in!
I love reading your blogs….you crack me up!!! 😀 And I love the eraser "trick"…great idea!!
I am so sad that I missed the bonus card this round – but am happy that I at least got my swaps done – it was a squeaker!
I thought about you this morning when I ate the last half of my Cinnabon roll with extra icing for breakfast – it's all your fault so if I have to gain 3 pounds, then you have to too. It's the law! 🙂
Have a good one sweetie! Make an extra card for me!
you ever use vanilla pudding in the dough ? I do and it makes them super douper yummy and moist and delish! Usually a batch of 12 last about 3 minutes in our house ( but I have teenagers there).
