Wasn't it nice of Shelli, and her daughter's Sara, Shanna & Shalae to give me this cute swap to post so I could get to bed early since I just got home tonight from Founder's Circle?
OK, well they gave one to all of us, but I can just pretend. But I am totally glad I have it to post cause I am so tired, and want to get to bed early. I did get all unpacked so I could show Jeff and Eric all my goodies, and so I could check to see if my record with my name on it made it safe and sound. As I was packing it I said "Poppa, please make sure my record doesn't break". And it made it safe and sound. Thanks Poppa!
Tomorrow will be so busy, what the heck was I thinking when I told the guy to come the day after I got back to fix the front window gaskety thing on my truck? Like duh! I know I am totally gonna want to sleep in…oh well. What can I do now? When I went to get my truck washed last week the guy was like "you have a piece of gasket/molding/trim/whatever missing." So he showed me once I came out of the wash thing, and sure enough all the top rubbery thing is gone off the top of my window, and I am like geesh I hope it didn't fly off and hit anyone. So they are coming to put it in tomorrow, but they have to kinda pop the window out to do it.
I have so much to share with you from Founder's Circle, and I will do that as the week goes by. I do have a question for you all. I really need to get a laptop, I could have done so much at Founder's Circle (work wise and blog wise) if I did and now it's all on my desk now. So my question is…what kind of laptop do I get? What brand? Do I need a big one? a small one? Do I get a PC or an Apple? I have a PC at home, would it talk to an Apple? How safe are they? Would I need to put everything on it from this computer? How does it connect to the internet? Any suggestions would sooo be appreciated, cause I am really not computer saavy.
Isn't this the cutest little bag, and it is filled with kisses (I think) I have not opened it up yet, but I am just feeling through the material. Where did this material come from you ask? Well Stampin' Up! of course. We have fabric now so you can use it with your big shot, or use it to make ribbons, clothing, or anything. I mean this is just the pennant die sewn together and decorated. Cute!! And what was cuter was watching Shelli, Shalae and Sara hands these out in their jammies, with all the other Demonstrators in their jammies too. I so can not wait to upload my pictures from my camera but I really got to get to bed.
I love the little tag, and you know what I really feel like I made so many new friends this past few days, and it was so fun just hanging out. Shelli and the girls were making halloween invites, and just chatting with everyone. They even asked if they could come with us to the Five Guys hamburger place and I so enjoyed chatting with Sara. What an amazing time.
I really do have so many things to tell you, bowling, goodies, shoes, shopping, swapping, popcorn, chocolate, donuts, churros, bus rides, bingo, Cherokee, new friends, old friends…and so much more.
Have an awesome Monday and thanks so much for stopping in!
sooo happy your home safe and sound – can't wait to see you and hear all your stories and see all your goodies – missed you lots!!
Di,
an apple is the best!!! they are compatible with pc's, and do just fine on the internet. However since I remember the fun we had when I was visiting in April with jeff's brother's laptop, a pc might just be best, since you are already familiar with all the programs. I LOVE my hubby's Toshiba!! It is really powerful and awesome. I would also recommend an external hard drive and enclosure so you can back everything up, and have tons more space for way cheaper too.
Once you get down to looking at specific laptops hubby and I can totally help, since that is what he does all day long anyways.
I am so glad you had fun at founders circle, and that you and the record got home safe and sound.
Diana
I am so glad you had a great time! You soooooo deserve it. Cannot wait to see all your pictures and hear all about it. Take a well deserved sleep, get your car fixed and then let us have it – one day at a time! Want to hear all of it and don't leave anything out. This way I will be at Founder's Circle with you….LOL
Thanks and Inky Hugs,
Terry~~
Welcome home Di. Can't wait to hear about your adventures. I have a Mac and in fact our whole family has converted to Macs. They don't get viruses and once you play with it a little you will never go back to a PC.
I'm looking forward to your next bunch of posts!! I want to hear all about founders!
Luv ya
Jax
If you have a PC I would stick with a PC. My laptop and computer are PC but a friend of mine had both and she found it very difficult to convert back and forth!
I'm so glad you had an awesome time. You deserved all of it. 🙂 I can't wait to see all the cool stuff and hear all your funny stories, as I'm sure there are some.
Welcome back!!! Glad you enjoyed the trip. If you are planning to keep the desktop and just use the laptop for traveling and maybe some shooping or surfing in front of the TV, the little netbooks are cool. If you think you may be switching over to a laptop permanently I'd go with at least a 15 inch with as many GB as you can.
To go wireless, you need a wireless router connected to your modem. You can secure your signal so others can't pick it up or see your information. I've had my laptop for 5-6 yrs and just love it!!! In fact we have 5 in our house now and never use the desktop. It takes up so much room, it's time to ditch it!!! Just need to figure out how to clean off the hard drive first. We have 3 HP's,1 Toshiba and 1 Gateway.
You can get a netbook for less than $300.00 and transfer your info to the desktop if you plan to keep using it. Oh….when you go wireless, you can get a wireless printer and that is so cool too. Hope I helped and didn't confuse you. LOL
Sounds like you really enjoyed Founder's Circle. I have a PC laptop so I don't really know anything about the MAC, but I would tell you to get the largest screen on it that you can afford. On occasion I use our older desktop and it's like looking at a cell phone screen. It seems so small to me. Good luck with whatever you choose.
Welcome back.. Can't wait to see all your goodies and hear all the stories. Glad you are back safe and sound..
Welcome home! Can't wait to see the pictures and hear more about your trip.
I have to vote for a Mac. I so resisted 2 years ago when my husband wanted to buy me a new computer. Why all I knew was PC and it is hard to teach an old dog new tricks. Well, all I can say is yes you can!!! I looooove my Mac and so do my kids. They are sooooo much easier to use, and they do not get viruses and you can get anything fixed right in the store. San Tan Mall has an Apple store as does the Chandler Mall. When you purchase your laptop you have the choice to pay $95 to get a year of one on one training with a specialist and the training is whatever you want it to be for each one hour session, and you can do as many as you want a week. They will also transfer all of your stuff from your PC to your Mac. The trainers and the tech support are awesome. They even teach my 11 year old daughter at our training sessions. You would absolutely love it. Take Jeff with you and drive to the San Tan Apple store and ask them lots of questions and see how you feel about a Mac. Keep us posted. Then maybe ope day when you are at San Tan having a training session we can meet for lunch at Paradise Bakery and finally meet up. 🙂
Welcome home! I vote for Mac! I L-O-V-E mine! I do NOT recommend getting the biggest screen if you plan to use it for travel. I did not believe that at first when I was told that, but I have a huge desktop monitor at work (PC) and a MacBook at home and honestly it is wonderful! I don't need a bigger screen on my laptop which would make it bigger, bulkier, and heavier to carry. I do LOTS of spreadsheets on the mongo monitor at work and also on my MacBook and there is no real preference for me. One would think the mongo monitor would be easier to see and work with, but it isn't really. Macs are so completely intuitive and easy to work with!!
Seus trabalhos são maravilhosos, lindos. Adoro flores e gostaria de ver tutoriais.
