What Inspires Me Two…er Too!

This 'n' That

3 Aug

I also love looking at the Stampin' Up! catalog for ideas and inspiration.  You can always tweak or change out the stamp set, but a lot of times I do it right out of the catalog. I shared this at Convention on one of the places I get my inspiration.  A lot of times we are so interested in looking at all the "stuff" to order we forget to look at the samples. I remember years ago a Demonstrator would swap at our meetings, and we would oh and ah over her card and she would say "pg. 5 in the catalog" ha!

So these are page 22 in the catalog.

DSCN1990 copy
I tweaked this one by making it a card instead of a box.

Stamp Set: Wicked Cool

Paper: Rich Razzleberry, Basic Black, Whisper White

Ink: Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry, Jetblack Stazon

Misc: Old Olive Satin ribbon, sticky strip, Perfect Polka Dot Embossing folder, Brights designer buttons, Chunky black glitter

And if you have not seen the buttons this year, holy moly, the are so shiny you almost think they are glass.  Beautiful.

Oh and the puckered ribbon is soo easy.  Just put your sticky strip on the back of the circle (or whatever shape you desire) then just pucker the ribbon and press it into the sticky strip as you go around.  I would make sure to do it from the spool till you finish and then cut it off, I would hate for you to get half way around and realize…oops I don't have enough.

This is also page 22 in the catalog:

 Stamp Set: Wicked Cool

Paper: Rich Razzleberry, Basic Black, Whisper White, Wicked Fun DSP

Ink: Jetblack Stazon, Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White

Misc: Neutrals button

I love this color combo for Halloween and love the candleabra…goolishly good! Oh and you are going to love love love the new Holiday Mini, you are going to want everything. I finally gave up and only marked what I did not want…my list was much smaller.

Have you seen the movie Julie & Julia? How she made the Julia Childs cookbook in a year, and blogged about it. How fun would it be to do the same thing with the SU! catalog.  Hmmm….veryyy interesting as the old guy said on Laugh In…I can hear it in my head.

I felt like a big girl today, I actually requested carrier pick up for some DSP packages going out and the mailman actually came to the door to get them. I kinda figured he would cause he will drop off packages that are too big, but I just really was not sure.  So happy, this will save me many trips to the PO.

Oh and Alice let me pet her again today, I am not so sure if she was eyeing the bright blue sky behind me and maybe figuring how she could escape or what, but I figure if she starts to get tame it will be not long and the others will too.  They do whatever she does.  I think if I remember correctly she is the first one I choose and Jeff put her in the crate first to come home and the rest followed after, so I wonder if she and they remember that? Jeff just rolls his eyes when I say that. Some day they are gonna stick that way and then what?

Well that's all for me today folks, I am getting ready for my workshop with my Trilogy ladies on Wednesday, I love hanging out with them.

Have an awesome Tuesday and thanks for stopping in!

My hubby does that too and thinks I don't see him when he does it. I always catch him and say, "Don't you roll your eyes at me!" Every time you mention Alice, I think of the Jefferson Airplane's song, "White Rabbit"," Go ask Alice when she's ten feet tall"! I love this set and I agree with you about all the ideas in the book. Every time I look at it I see something different I want to make. Have a great day. Oh and I remember Artie Johnson too!

OMG!! I am in an Inpsired By swap in which we take something in the catty and make a card out of it. I picked the witch feet box while I was eating lunch yesterday. Great minds think alike or something silly like that. I am going to try it and see what happens. I figured since I won that set in Prize Patrol it was destined to be used. I love your cards as usual. Yeah to Alice, she is being a good girl. It's Tuesday and we are a day closer to the weekend. Have a great stamping and chicken day.

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
