Watercoloring Beauty

This 'n' That

7 Aug

DSCN2491 copy

I told you yesterday that I would show you the most beautiful card using the the Just Believe set, and here it is.

This was actually one of the make n takes from convention.  I usually don't do my make n takes at convention because I am usually too busy talking (yeah I know that surprises you right? I seem so quiet) and I am a tweaker and want to do different things.

Well this year I did not even get to go to the make n takes, once we got miked up and make up on, we stayed back stage, but Shiloh was sweet enough to grab my packet of "card guts" (see "di"ctionary on left hand side for explanation) and I made a few at home.  This was the first one I did and I am so in love with this technique.  All you do is color right on the stamp with the markers, spritz with water and stamp on the watercolor paper and let dry. BEAUTIFUL!! I might just love solid stamps, especially these floral ones. I demoed this card to the Trilogy ladies the other day and they loved it too.

Stamp Set: Just Believe

Paper: Not Quite Navy, Bashful Blue, Watercolor Paper

Ink: Not Quite Navy for the greeting

Misc: Pear Pizzazz, Old Olive, Bashful Blue, Not Quite Navy markers, color spritzer tool, linen thread, Old Olive satin ribbon, Brights buttons

Gorgeous! I still am loving it.

If you want to place a Stampin' Up! order, my online store is open 24-7. Thank you, I really appreciate it.

Have an awesome Saturday and thanks for stopping in!

Yours turned out a heck of a lot cuter than mine. Then again, you are a crack water color artist. That might help a little, OK a lot. I hope you are having a great weekend. We are getting a little respite from the heat. It was 65 tonight but Sun we will be back in the 100's. The humidity will probably be in the 60's yech. It's not the heat it's the humidity we say here in MO. We haven't seen pics of Toby in so long did he get picked up by Elvira Gultch?

    Hi Diana~~

I love the new Owl Punch and have a bunch of ideas for use. Also the new designer paper Elegant Soiree. Since we have the new house, I am loving the colors in the paper and want to paint some rooms in the house. Glad you had fun at convention, see you next week for the Distress class. Claudia Bartels

    Hey D
I finally saw the light about not rushing through M&T's at SU events, I sauntered in about 1 hour into the time frame (after sauntering & gabbing) in the Gathering Place! Took some photos of me "pretending" to M&T (on my website). I too tweek (Never follow directions) designs!
I also have the M&T "guts" for our event waiting for me to complete!!!
    Your card is beautiful!

Hi Diana. Again, thanks for sharing your creativity with us! I am a fellow Canadian and love reading your daily blog – you crack me up! Anywho, it is hard for me to pick a favourite item from the new catalogue because I love so many of them but I think the new Owl Punch really stole my heart. I think he is just adorable and can be used in so many ways.

Question for you. Have you used the distressing kit yet? If so, thoughts?

    Thanks for sharing.

Love how spritzing the water on to the stamp, it gives it a softer look. Thanks for sharing and can't waitto try it!

Only picking one thing I love about the catalog is very hard!! I can spend hours, (and have) just looking through it! But I would have to say all the ideas that I can take away from it!! And secondly I love adding to my wish list, which gets longer and longer!
    Thanks,
    Cathy

My favorite item from the new catalog is everything "Cherry Cobbler…c/s; marker; stamp pad; reinker. I adore that shade of red. And since Cherry Cobbler is my most favorite dessert, what could be better?

Love the technique – not too keen on the tearing….I've never been a fan of tearing much – but I like the technique.
    Luv ya

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
