I got an amazing swap card from the very talented Karen Barber (love ya Karen!) and I just had to do it for my FLICKs (First Level Incentive Card Kits) for July sales. I also did this at one of my workshops and the girls loved it.
I also wanted to show you how to get the image that you have spotlighted so it lines up with the stamped image on the main piece, and it is easier then you think.
I don't know if this has a special name or not, but I am calling it "Spot On" Spotlighting. Here is the video I did to show you how to do it.
I used my old camera and it is not that clear (I must have messed with a setting or something), I promise the next time to use my new camera. I did do one with the new one and when I watched it on the computer it was kinda jittery, (plus it had boo-boos, like a blooper reel) but when I watched it on the camera it was fine, so it might be my computer, it wanted to watch it through Quick Time and I usually don't use that, so I am trying to figure out how to make it watch it through something else. I need to play and read up more on the camera.
Anyway, here is the video:
Here is the completed card.
Paper: Whisper White, Pink Pirouette, Basic Black
Ink: Jetblack Stazon, Pink Pirouette, Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzazz
Misc: Square Lattice Embossing folder, black satin ribbon, Scallop Trim border punch
I made up a few more to sell in my Etsy store.
I also am sending one to my Mum, her birthday is this week and I am such a boob and her card is going to be late, but she knows I love her so much, and I wish I could be there to give it to her in person.
Well I am headed to bed, I gotta get up and head over to MAMMa's in the morning, Rhonda and I are meeting over there and we are going to make the make n takes for our September to Remember event, so we each have completed ones. If you are interested in attending let me know right away, we only have a few seats left.
Have an awesome Monday and thanks so much for stopping in.
To order the Stampin' Up! products shown here, please head on over to my on-line store…thanks!
I guess I better not case it for Mom's birthday then huh??
Love ya
Jax

Beautiful card!! Thanks for all the tips. Used another tip of yours this weekend – marking my top note die with the white gel pen – made it a lot easier to line everything up and got 40 cut in no time.Karen
