That's one of the sayings I can remember Granny saying. I lived with my Poppa and Granny most of my young life so she had plenty of opportunities to call me that. I was as nutty a kid as I am an adult…ha! I will have to share more sayings with you another day.
What made me think of it is Toby, I just called him a crazy nut. I have my big desk chair across the room, so I am just sitting on a folding chair (I really should buy one I can just keep at the computer), and he feels his life must be spent on my lap or behind me and since he was a pup I put him on the back of my seat so I knew where he was so he just wants up all the time, he will stand up and scratch and cry on my leg and I keep telling him "does this chair look like you can sit on it? It doesn't even have a solid back, you will fall right through, can't you see that I am typing up my blog?". So he does not answer, cause he is a dog. Instead he goes and gets a toy and then comes back to scratching on my leg to come up. Maybe there is room for two of them…so here he and his toy sit on my lap in front of the keyboard, and he is a happy as a clam, as I type around them. Crazy nut…I just have not decided which one is crazier? Don't answer that.
This is another card I demoed at convention, I was showing direct to paper, I first rubbed on More Mustard, and then Cajun Craze on the edges of the DSP. I colored the image with the ink pads, and a blender pen, and I also spritzed it with the Smooch spritz.
Stamp Set: Countryside, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Paper: Cajun Craze, Basic Black, Watercolor Paper, Newsprint DSP
Ink: Jetblack Stazon, Cajun Craze, Not Quite Navy, Old Olive, Garden Green, Baja Breeze, Sahara Sand, Crumb Cake, So Saffron
Misc: Silver Foil smooch spritz
The other day in class there were just a few people here and depending on who is here, I will bring Toby in towards the end, so they can say hi, especially when Auntie Connie and Auntie Donna are here, they gotta get their Toby fix. I have to have a paper towel handy cause of his pee problem, so we just kinda hold it on his pee part just in case. That is why he is not out here for classes. Sammi was the class mascot, she was always out here until near the end and then she stayed in the house. But anyway, we were laughing about me bringing in one of the chickens, and I was like can you just imagine. Yeah we go to Diana's classes and she brings chickens in the house…ha! Nope ain't gonna happen. I took the girls around back to the coop to check them out instead.
Well Toby is driving me nuts, so I better get off here, and call it a night.
Have an awesome Thursday and thanks so much for stopping in!
I love this card, and I so wish I had been able to go to convention to see you do this live. Your coloring on the rooster is amazing! If I had known earlier that you were doing demos I probably would have tried harder to get there.
I was wondering though about the chickens, are they for eggs, or more for pets? We have chickens down at the family farm, but they are for meat, and all white and not at all pretty like your girls.
Pretty card. Give Toby a big scratch from Aunt Jacqui!!!
Luv ya Jax
You are a hoot Diana! I always get a chuckle out of your blog! Smiles, Dana
Di, your card is fantastic! Love how you distressed the print paper. You sure know how to color!
When you write about Toby, it makes me miss Madison. Our pets seem to know how to work us, don't they?
Wow! You may read like a crazy nut, but you stamp like a queen! I love the crazy nut side; makes me feel at home:) The stamping sid is an inspiration! Thanks for sharing.
This is a lovely card.
The colours work really well together xx
Oh gosh….I feel it too! Tessa does have her chair and I have mine. However, the other day I came in from class dumped everything in her chair, so she decided mine would due. I came in and asked her what she was doing in my chair, she's a cat, so did not answer…hee heee Oh oops forgot I put everything in your chair, so I had to put it on the floor. Mowgli has his blanket on the floor by my feet…that's his spot.
