An Evening to Remember – What a Night

Being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator

1 Aug

On our free night at Convention, Linda Hansen had planned a get together.  She had invited Dina Anker and myself to help put on the event.  We were thinking 50 – 100 people.  Well we had to finally stop the sign ups at 200.  Holy Moly!  We had a great night. I designed three of the make n takes, and Linda designed one.  I cut for two of them and sent it off to Linda, she cut for two and bagged everything up in their packets.  That's a lot of paper!! Dina was the mastermind behind the website and she ruled the swaps.  I still have to make my little froggie make n take, he is sitting all unassembled in his baggie.

Here is the group picture that shows everyone that helped put on the event as well as our special guests who were Jaron and Lori, they used to work at Stampin' Up! with Linda. Jaron even sang for us, which was a treat in itself.

But here are the cards I designed.  I wanted them pretty, easy to do and that used not tons of supplies as we had the girls bring their own with them.  I also made sure to use the set we got for attending convention on them that way we knew everyone would have that, plus I also used Artistic Etchings which was one we could pre-order ahead of time as a Demonstrator. (that is a Demonstrator perk)  I do believe the night went off without a hitch and everyone had a great time.  Linda has been talking about doing it again next year, and looking for a bigger place to hold it. I am so excited cause the Stampin' Pastels are now available to order. We had to wait to get them from the supplier. If you are interested here are the item codes: #120962 for the Pastels, and the new In Color Kit is #120963.

You can order them in my on-line store 24-7, that means you can shop in your jammies…yeah try doing that at the grocery store…although I have seen some odd Walmart people pictures, and some of them did look like they were in their jammies…but anyway.  I appreciate your order no matter what you are wearing at the time.

If you would like to become a Demonstrator and join my team, I would love to have you be part of my family. Give me a shout and I can answer any questions you may have. I have been a Demonstrator for over 11 years and I have Demonstrators all over the United States.  As a Demonstrator we get to pre-order out of the new Holiday Mini catalog starting TODAY! It is amazing.  If you join my team you will also get the new Color Coach as a Welcome gift from me.  It is such an amazing tool, no more trying to figure out what colors go with what!

An Evening to Remember was just that. Not only did I finally get to hook up with you for a few minutes but I met new people, ate delicious food, made some awesome cards, and left with fifty plus swap cards. The environment was relaxing, historical, and inviting. Everyone from the hostesses to the waiters were so nice and made us all feel so welcomed. It was definitely worth the money!

I am a little jealous that you got to see Jaron, Lori and Linda again! I miss 'em! It's nice to hear you might have this event again next year – maybe I'll get to hang out with you guys then!

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
