A Different Kind of Poppy

Being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator

3 Jul

Well I did it, or I should say we did it.  Jeff and I met MAMMa and Daddy Vinnie at the theater this morning and we saw Eclipse again and look what I wore…

…drum roll please…

DSCN1969 copy

…there they are in all their glory my Poppy shoes. (ignore my red face…just look at the shoes) I love them and they are pretty comfortable.  Jeff was telling Vinnie he picked up a hooker and then he pointed to my shoes…what a bugger.

Little things I learned today: It is important to walk on level ground, we stopped at Walmart on the way home and the little bumpy things on the way out of the store, not sure why they are there, but I did wobble a little bit there, and Jeff teased me, then someone spilled some soap in the laundry aisle and I about went ass over tea kettle.  No one noticed, except my heart, which sped up a little bit, and my life flashed before my eyes, but other then that, I love them.

So today I did a lot of paper cutting, I have lots more to do, but I cut the paper I had here, and need to wait for my order to arrive to finish the rest.  I am cutting cards for our An Evening to Remember event at Convention, we have 200 coming and I am cutting 2 make n takes and Linda Hansen is cutting 2 make n takes. If you are attending please make sure to head over to the amazing website that Dina Anker has been working on and check out the make n take supplies you will need to bring.  I suggest you pair up with your friends, so you each bring something different and then you can share.  We have kept the supplies you need to bring to a minimum.

So I didn't get anything stamped for you, but I will tomorrow.

Ugh, tomorrow I get on the scale and this week I did not do very good, so I am a little scared to get on it.  I have a feeling it might be up, I had two days of movies, and buttered popcorn, and soda pop…so I am crossing my fingers.

Did you used to be a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and life took you in a different direction, but now you are ready to be a Demonstrator again?  I would love to have you join my Di's Country INKers family and look at this awesome deal.

Di you look so cute in your "bad girl shoes" especially with your garters cut off! Good luck on the scales. Wish I was close by so I could help you with cutting paper! You and Linda are amazing. Wish I had your energy. Funny about Walmart. That would be me and I would be on the floor. My mom always use to call me"Grace"! Have a good Saturday.

Hey Di! Glad you got to wear your shoes!

Question: what do you use as a cutter for those big events? I need to invest in a big deal cutter, but am afraid to commit to some of those prices, but want to cut more than 3 pieces of card stock at a time.

    Thanks!

Wow! That is a lot of cutting! Have fun! Wish I could come to convention this year. I am planning on coming next year.

Hello there Diva Di in her to-die-for shoes!
I don't know about the "hooker" part, but I think you look divine, all slim and tall and confident! I can tell you lost some weight and you feel better! Wish I could be at convention to swap with you in person (love Amy Celona's WOW Swaps!) but I decided the flights were to cost prohibitive from Fla. See ya at Leadership!
Hope you have an AWESOME event!

OK, I need those shoes. I absolutely love 'em and what you wore with them is fantastic, such a hot mama. I know what CFM means and it is hilarious. Have a wonderful time making all your wonderful M&T's. Maybe next time I come to convention I can do the earlier stuff with you. That would be an absolute hoot.

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
