Trio of Flowers

This 'n' That

13 Jun

DSCN1822 copy

Today was a nice day, I had my stamp yard sale in the morning, and I had a great turn out, thanks to everyone for coming by.  I still have lots left so if you come to class you will be able to shop at the same time.

The weather was so nice, we had a cool day today, those will be few and far between now that summer is upon us.  Jeff and I even went to the Deli for a late lunch, and most of the people coming in ate outside but we ate inside, we pretended that we had reserved the whole restaurant to ourself.

Oh and I weighed myself this morning, and it was not what I was hoping for, I did not gain weight but I did not lose that much either.  Last week it was 133, and today it said 131.8  So at least it is going down but I hope next week it will be much lower, or it'll be next convention to reach my goal…ha!

This is another shoebox card, and this one was designed by Monica Lerma.  I loved how she made the vase out of the ornament punch and then she used the little flower punch to decorate the vase.  I cut a few extra and glue dotted them so they hung off the ornament and then cut them so they looked like they wrapped around the vase. Neat eh?

Hi Di. Glad your yard sale went well. I will be making several sets of card sets today for a friend at work who gives them away as gifts. She always makes me feel so good when she orders cards from me. Of course my daughter and I will be getting our pedicures. I thought about stepping outside my comfort zone and going to the "dark" Di side and get black. Still thinking about that one…. My twin girlfriends here get that all the time. I hope you have a good Sunday. Love the card and the ornament vase is an awesome idea. "Giblet"

congrats on the 1.2 lbs lost – that is better than staying the same and way better than gaining!

This is cute. I like the little flowers on the vase idea as well.
Don't stress about your weight Diana – I know you want to lose some before convention….but if you are doing activity and exercise, your body size might be changing and toning, but the weight might not necessarily move. So don't be discouraged if the weight does not come off quickly. Keep on dancing!
    Luv ya

Your addition to the card makes it pop. I am so glad your yard sale did good. Think of all the extra goodies you can get from SU with the extra cha ching $$. Only 35 days till I leave for convention and preconvention activities. Woo Hoo. I guess I need to start doing a few things to get ready? Have a great rest of the weekend and enjoy the lower temps. Here in MO it is hot, hot, hot but we have a saying here: it's not the heat, it's the humidity. Ain't that the truth sistah.

Another great card…love your flowers on the vase. Hey, I've always heard that when weight comes off slowly, it's more likely to stay off, so you are off to a great start!

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
