Take a Moment

This 'n' That

16 Jun

DSCN1854 copy

Rhonda and I met today, we did a little bit of shopping and then we had lunch and talked about our upcoming event in September.  We have so many ideas swirling around in our heads.  So I got a little card to show you today, plus I wanted to re-use the polka dotted ribbon from my card yesterday, nothing goes to waste.

Stamp Set: It's the Thought, Dot to Dot (on ribbon)

Paper: Real Red, Basic Black, Whisper White

Ink: Jetblack Stazon, Baja Breeze, Real Red, Sahara Sand, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White to stamp dots on ribbon

Misc: White watercolor pencil as a highlight on cherries, it is very subtle in the picture, Real Red Taffeta

So here is yesterday's card with the White Taffeta, it looks much better and the picture turned out a bit better, I probably need to get a better way of taking pictures.

Stamp Set: Dot to Dot, Baroque Motif, Friends 24-7

Paper: Crumb Cake, Poppy Parade, Real Red

Ink: White Craft, Jetblack Stazon, Poppy Parade

Misc: Scallop border punch, Red Satin ribbon

So I had Hell's Kitchen on tonight, boy oh boy the F-bomb flies on that show eh?  How do they pick the people that sits in the crowd to eat?  Also what drives me nuts is most of the wanna be Chefs all smoke, so when they are chatting it up afterwards there is cigarette smoke all around them.  Blech!  It just does not seem very appetizing.  I remembered one day I stopped at Sonic before my pedicure and a guy came out of the pizza place wearing an apron to have a smoke in the parking lot, and I had to hope he washed up before he went back to work.

Have a great Wednesday and thanks for stopping in!

wow when I first read that you were gonna use the ribbon from yesterday on this card I was like..hm…that was orange ribbon! but then I looked back and the colours were red that you used but they looked really orange in the picture. Either way I like the cards!
It's just funny how some pictures look like the exact colour and others nothing at all like what they are supposed to look like.
    Luv ya

100% improvement on yesterdays card by changing the ribbon! Looks great! I had to laugh at your comments regarding last nights episode of Hell's Kitchen…we said the exact same thing about the chef's smoking … YUCK!

I too have witnessed dang employees walking out of their establishment wearing their apron and cigarette in hand. BARF! Chef's that smoke are worse.
Don't forget the friggin' apron that stays on. It's not meant to go to the bathroom and smoke break with the stupid employees. It's to be worn while working in the kitchen or on the floor.
….Hello Health Department; we have violators here.
