It’s the Thought…

This 'n' That

20 Jun

DSCN1923 copy

…that you should have got the shoes when you saw them the first time.  I saw and tried on these sandals like a month ago, they were so cute, and comfortable, and MAMMa said they were "me". But I didn't get them, but I have been thinking about them (my OCD working overtime) and boring my friends about them, so today I thought the heck with it, I am going to go get them on my way to town.  I called the store first to make sure they still had them, and of course they only had the brown and not the black, but they could have the black sent from another store. My shoe size is common and I swear when it is about the time for shoes to be running out, my size is it.

So I said put the brown aside and I would come walk around with them on a bit longer to see if I really liked them.  So I got there, and they were red brown, not brown, so they would not go with anything I had.  So I said if they could get the black that would be better.  So my sweetie girlfriend Melissa (Mel for short) – Hey honey!!! met me at the store, (ya gotta shop in pairs) and you know we looked all over for a pair of brown in anything…well anything I liked…I am kinda picky, and none of the colors were a real brown, so I didn't get any.  I will wait till they call me next week.  Mel and I want to wear sexy shoes for the Eclipse premier, cause we are…um…nuts!

Wanna see em?

Cute eh?  Don't you want a pair? So if you see me wearing them at convention, don't knock me over…ha!

So I weighed myself this morning. 130.8…geesh slowwwww but sure I guess. My sister Jacqui says its cause I am older and the weight does not come off as fast, and this makes me realize why I hate to weigh myself, my clothes are looser, and my gut overhang is a bit smaller so it is working but it seems like the weight should be lower, but I'm keep on keeping on.

So I did up a quick card tonight after we watched Ink Heart, we never did watch a movie last night, I fiddled farted around too much and then it got too late.

I think scales are next thing to the devil. Because you can be feeling beautiful and like the bulge is a little bit smaller but if the scale doesn't match that, then all of a sudden you feel fat again. I think we should switch to measuring inches instead of pounds…..what do you think?

Oh I love the shoes. I am a shoeaholic or at least used to be before I moved to small town, podunk USA. There are just so many shoes you can get from Walmart (although why even bother-yech). I miss Nordstroms half yearly sale. Trying on all those delicious wonderful foot enhancing creations was heaven to me. Oh well I was meant to spend my $$ on other things, like SU. OK, back to reality. Love the card, so simple and cute. Do you sew around it or are those fakers? You know what fakers are- holes with black marks between them. Tell the man happy Father's Day. DD and SIL are coming over at noon to take us out to lunch for the day. Have a wonderful Sunday.

I loved shoe shopping with you honey – and am up for it anytime! Now I get to get me some sexy shoes for our Eclipse day! Or, I could just wear some that I already have but have not worn yet. Love ya!

Geesh Di. I did the same thing this summer or actually this spring. I wanted a pair of sandals in brown and when I finally talked myself into getting them there were none to be found! I procrastinate like that all the time…… Those are killer sandals though. I would never be able to wear them but look forward to seeing you trying to walk in them!!

That scarf is beautiful. Hey girl, DO NOT WEAR THOSE SHOES TO CONVENTION. I use to have some high like that and was at the office (and this was when I was like 22 or so) and my boss had mentioned I was going to fall off those things. And sure enough, I did. It hurt too. Take care,

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
