So Jeff got trimming trees today, and now they look so bare and sad. They will fill back out, but right now it looks so odd. When we bought our land years ago and built our house we asked the builder to please only remove the trees they needed to. So many of the other neighbors had their property totally cleared and then they had to plant stuff. So we have mostly natural trees, other then the pines Jeff planted last year. They are mesquite trees and they look great, but this year they are loaded with pods that really made them heavy, so they started to break and split.
This is another fun card we did at MAMMa's class the other night. This set is so fun and I love this card, I love the spotlighting technique and this card is perfect. It reminds me of Toy Story, you know how Buzz has all those friends in the store that look like him and Woody and the gang think he is leaving them, but it is all the toys. This reminds me of an assembly line. Ah! reminds me of the assembly line in the I Love Lucy episode with the chocolates…that was hilarious.
Paper: Not Quite Navy, Basic Black, Whisper White, Travel Journal DSP
Ink: Jetblack Stazon, Not Quite Navy, Sahara Sand, Dusty Durango, Crushed Curry
Misc: Dusty Durango polka dot ribbon, black brads, Modern Label punch, Square Lattice embossing folder
Well I am headed to bed, I have class in the morning.
Have a great Monday and thanks so much for stopping in, it means so much to me that you do.
I need to see your trees! I need to see your house! The spotlighting looks cute with this robot fella. He kind of reminds me of the robot from the movie Zathura…and only cause it was on TV yesterday!
you must google that chocolate episode and put it on your blog for all those people who have not had the pleasure of seeing that episode. I know its on YouTube somewhere cause Rob and I were watching it a few weeks ago.
Luv ya
Jax
I love this technique, but forget to use it. TFS! Your card is terrific!
I'm first? Woo hoo. I like the design and layout of this card although I never have been too crazy about the stamp set. I know I am probably about the only one on the planet that is like that. Well thank heavens SU has more than one type of stamp set. That way we can all be happy with what is in the catty. Talk with you later.
Love the card, I have the set and don't use it much, I will have to case your card!!!!!!
Diana,
I posted a CASE today thought I show you. http://kath-allthatscrap.blogspot.com/2010/08/more-caseing.html
TFS your talents.
