Gotta Get it in Soft Back

This 'n' That

14 Jun

Marjori shoebox close

The Twilight Series I mean, I have read them going on three times and I just have the hardback books and they are so heavy that it about caves my chest in when I read at night, so I am hoping they are in softback and lighter.  Then I can retire my hardback ones on the shelf.

I've been having fun designing some of the make n takes for Linda Hansen's "An Evening to Remember" event that is going to be held one evening during an off night at Convention.  Those of you that have emailed me to get seats, we are totally full, and because of fire code regulations we can not fit anymore in the room.  I believe that if any spots open up, like someone needs to transfer, if you keep tabs on the Evening to Remember Website you can find out there.

This is the last card from our shoebox swap.  I had to finish it at home and I am hoping I did it right, but now that I look at it, I can't remember where the brads were supposed to go…hmmmm….oh well, this is how it ended up.

This card was designed by Marjori Miller. I don't own this set, and I keep seeing such cute ideas with it.

Marjori shoebox full
Stamp Set: Tropical Party, Teeny Tiny Wishes

Paper: Vanilla Naturals, Soft Suede

Ink: Soft Suede

Well True Blood Season Three Episode One is about to come on…again, and I gotta see if I missed anything. Toby had to potty when it first started.

Have an awesome Monday and thanks for stopping in.

This is pretty. I like the monochromatic feel of it. My embossing folder was on back order so hopefully soon it will get here, although I am hoping to get all my stamping stuff packed up this week to get moved.
I have packed up a bit, but I was still working on cards!
    Luv ya

It is a very cute card. I didn't get the stamp set either but I keep seeing lots of cute creations with it. I have a similar stamp set from lots of years ago (maybe 6) by DeNami. I don't even know if they are around anymore. I have become a SU purist lately and don't look at any else's work. Hope you have a great week and am looking forward to all the fun you create.

    Diana,
Hey lugging around your books counts as exercise, right?! If you like your Precious that much, you REALLY should check into getting an ebook reader – like the Kindle. Awesome and you can change the font size and have a TON of books on it…I just got the Second Life of Bree and I can even check my email on it cause it uses cell phone towers. And you can get lots of FREE books on it….you GOTTA check it out since you do so much reading!!! And speaking of Twilight, did you see the Twilight stuff they have on Nordstrom?! OMG they have life-sized Edward, Jacob, and Bella!! Can you imagine having them in your studio and doing the shupe diet with them? Or put them in your bedroom and then you can say you went to bed with them all at the same time LOL! Mary

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
