Friends are Flowers…

This 'n' That

18 Jun

…that Never Fade.

Friends never fade close
Whew, I got all my display stamping done today so I will run it to UPS tomorrow, now to start on the rest of my to-do list.  I have not turned the TV on in my studio during the day for two days and I hate to admit I do get more done without it on even though I don't sit and watch it, I must still glance at it.  I have been listening to my Twilight Saga Soundtracks, all 3 of them…I am really liking the Eclipse one, at first there were a few songs that were so-so, but now I love them all.  I have my computer music player thing play all three soundtracks and it shuffles through the songs.

So this set came today, I am kind of a goober as I will be getting it for free at convention because of my yearly sales but I wanted it now in case I wanted to use it for our Evening to Remember make n takes but I used some other ones instead.

Oh and a quick note, if you read my blog in a reader, or in your email, please mosey on over from time to time and check out my blog for real.  You are missing so much that is available that does not come through in a reader or in your email box…thanks!

So I whipped this card up tonight, are you sick of the DSP Greenhouse Gala yet?  Ha! It and the Newsprint DSP were the only ones we could pre-order as a Demonstrator, I can hardly wait to get my hands on more of the styles.  Just a couple more weeks….yay!!!

Friends never fade full
Stamp Set: Friends Never Fade

Paper: Basic Black, Real Red, Daffodil Delight, Poppy Parade, Real Red, Greenhouse Gala DSP

Ink: Jetblack Stazon, Daffodil Delight, Poppy Parade, Real Red

Misc: Basic Black marker, mat pack, paper piercer, Striped Basic Black ribbon

To get the color on the flower, I first stamped it in Daffodil Delight then I rolled the stamp into Poppy Parade not getting any ink on the center, then I rolled the edges in Real Red, then I stamped it on the Very Vanilla and cut it out and glue dotted it over the flower image that is part of the greeting.  It took a couple tries to get just the right look.

Have you seen that they are re-making Hawaii 5-0?  How fun, every time I hear the theme music it makes me look at the TV.  I will definitely check it out. I hope they do the original proud.

I know Jeff and I are excited cause Leverage Season Three starts on Sunday night.  We can hardly wait, it has been a long time that we like the same show.  We used to always watch House together and then we got out of the habit.

Well that's all for me tonight, I am hitting the hay, plus I gotta get to bed before that dang Miley Cyrus comes on Jay Leno…blech!

Have an awesome Friday and thanks for stopping in!

Lovin' the card. The rolling with three colors looks fantastic. I may just have to get this set. The ones that I got are all back ordered. That's what I get for waiting till June 2 to order them. Have a great Friday.

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
