Fast & Fabulous

This 'n' That

7 Jun

DSCN1786 copy

I did this same card the other day with a different set, and this time I put black satin ribbon.  I love this DSP, and I had extra paper cut.

So I am going back and forth whether I like it with the white satin ribbon or the black.  The black seems to draw out the black lines of the image on this card.

What do you think?

Stamp Set: Fast & Fabulous, Because I Care

Paper: Tempting Turquoise, Whisper White, Island Oasis DSP

Ink: Jetblack Stazon, Tempting Turquoise, Old Olive

Misc: Black Satin ribbon, Polka Dot Impressions folder

Well as I am typing this the movie The Fly is on, oh my gosh I forgot how gross it was. This is the remake with Gina Davis and Jeff Goldblum (who I think is one of the worst actors, he acts the same in every role).

Well I am headed to bed.

Have a great Monday and thanks for stopping in!

I think each of the two cards is perfect! The first card didn't have enough black in it to support a black ribbon, but the second one does thanks to the bolder image and sentiment. I don't know if you analyzed why you chose the black this time, but you were right on.

P.S. I haven't mentioned for awhile how much I enjoy your blog — both the stamping stuff and the "this and that." You are a delight!

Hi Di. Are you tired of me yet? lol. I thnk this card would have been lost without the black ribbon. It would not have worked with your first card and I don't think the white ribbon would have added as much punch to this card as the black. Besides it matches your nail polish!!!

I agree with everyone else…. the first card needed white, but this last one is perfect with Black!!! Very pretty cards…

    Oh Di,
I would give just about anything to weigh 133 again. Nope, not gonna tell you how much I do weigh, but I have a way to go before I make it back to that again.
    Hugs!

I love the card and think it is just yummy with the black ribbon. Enjoying everything I see on your blog as usual. Give Toby a milkbone from Roscoe and say he is thinking of him.

Well at first I saw the post with the black ribbon, and thought it was a little stark, so looked at the white ribbon card and liked the cleanness of the white with the blue. Then I looked at the black ribbon again, and thought the same thing as you, how the black sorta tweaks it….so I have to agree with Joyce – do one of each, unless you can come up with a way to incorporate both the black and white lol. Can't wait for Eclipse either and love the Drive like a Cullen. I'm getting vampire paper dolls with Bella and Edward in the set!! Would come to your sale this weekend, but not back from our 6 week cross-country RV trip yet (big sigh). Looking forward to your post after you see Eclipse!! Mary L

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
