So did you watch Grey's Anatomy? Well until you did, I can't talk about it, but let me know when you have. It was so good. I love season finale's and I hate them too. Private Practice last week was a gut wrencher.
One show on TV that sometimes I want to scream at the TV is Designed to Sell. So Ma & Pa Clampett have their house on the market, it has been sitting there for 6 months, people look but no offers. They don't know why that people run screaming from their house. So they invite a man with a cute accent to come to the home and look at it, then he brings in a Realtor with a camera and she goes through giving her opinion. Ma & Pa are in the other room watching the whole thing on the video. After they get over this amazing new gadget, "Look Ma, I can see the lady walking through our house on this little bitty TV, and it's in color"…so anyway. The Realtor explains to cute accent guy that the brown shag carpet through out the house and even in the bathroom just does not work, and has an odd odor. The chickens roosting in the cupboards in the kitchen is a definite no-no, there is such things as "fresh eggs" and then there is "too fresh eggs", and Pa's yellowed long underwear strung up on the ceiling fan drying in the bedroom is a bit of an eye sore. As for the moonshine still in the garage, well she just tsked tsked that.
Well Ma and Pa are so upset, what does she mean these things make our house not very likable for people to want to buy? How dare she. Well that is when I think, why did they ask to do this show? does cute accent man and his Realtor just happen to be walking down the street with a film crew, I don't bloody well think so (getting into the accent).
Then the cute little 5 foot tall designer comes in and she is gonna wave her magic wand and make all the ugliness go away for under $2 thousand dollars (or 100 quarts of moonshine). She says, we are gonna build the cutest little chicken coop in the backyard with a cedar shake roof and a little white picket fence. I'm gonna knock down this wall, and make a nice laundry room equipped with a super duper washer and dryer for your 20 kids and then you won't have to hang the clothes off the ceiling fan any more. We are gonna pull up the shag carpet, and lay down wood floors. As for the moonshine in the garage, well we are just gonna leave that, and party after all this is over.
Ma and Pa, fuss and fume a little, and don't see how ruining their house will sell it, it was fine for them all these years. But once they see how cute the little chicken coop is, and Ma can get the laundry done in one day, and Pa gets drunk with the camera man, all is good, and they sell the house in a week after the open house.
I think one time I watched it and the couple actually decided to stay afterwards cause they liked the changes so much. Now I don't know if the $2K comes out of the people's pockets or the shows pocket, but I would think after all that work they should have to sell the dang house. If not, I wouldn't mind a guy with a cute accent, and a little tiny designer coming to my house and re-doing some things. Oh well.
So anyway, I wanted to show this cute card that I got. This is a card by Monica Lerma, she made it for a swap, and I didn't even swap, but she had extra and gave me one, wasn't that nice? And the card is so dang cute. Thanks Monica, you're so sweet!
Hand Stamped by Monica Lerma
Paper: Night of Navy, Kraft, Chocolate Chip, To the Nines Specialty DSP (I can't believe I had not ordered any of that…I am a total DSP hog too)
Misc: Log Cabin Smooch Spritz, Build a Brad, Large Star punch, Star punch, Serif Essentials Alphabet, Square Lattice Embossing folder
I'm not sure where the little star stamped for the build a brad came from, but you could use any small image.
Cute card eh?
Well I am hitting the hay and will chat with you more tomorrow.
Have an awesome Friday, Jeff has an appointment to go see the Doc about his shoulder blade pain, that is now going down his right arm, so keep good thoughts ok?
Thanks for stopping in!

Love the card. I didn't watch the show but it sounds hilarious. Chicken coop in the back yard, sure, we don't want them chickens roosting in the kitchen now do we?

I think that little star is from Bronc Buster or something like that….that's my guess anyway.
Grey's Anatomy – OMG – after the first 10 minutes I was like OMG – every time they went to commercial I was like OMG – it was a great finale.
And I loved your little rant about the moonshine couple!
Luv ya

Love this card! Monica did a great job! Loved your comments and can't wait to watch Grey's later today. (Had Bunco last night so missed it). Your comments on Design to Sell were a hoot. I wouldn't mind someone coming in my house either to redesign but I don't want to move. So glad it's Friday.
Grey's Anatomy! OH. MY. WORD! I do have to say how happy I was that they didn't leave us all hanging about anything until the Fall. I HATE that! It was definitely an intense 2 hours. I cried, but not as hard as I did last week at the end of Private Practice. That one was just too much.
Hi Di-
Thanks so much!! The little star came from Itty Bitty Bits in the summer mini.
Happy you like 🙂
OMG!!! Pale poop girl here again!!! LOL
My hubby is on active duty for the National Guard right now, state-side, so he is safe!!! But last week, he saw a doctor about a pain he was having in his right shoulder that moved around to his back and down his right arm. They did x-rays of his spine and was told there was maybe some arthritis setting in or maybe a partical tear in his rotator cuff. I'm not sure of all the correct termanology of everything, but there was something mentioned about it pressing on a nerve or something.
Anyway….just hoping Jeff's problems is something like that and not anything serious!!!
Thanks for showing the card. I need to get to thinking about some Father's Day cards!!!
