Happy Birthday Dad!

This 'n' That

23 May

Dad
Dad in barn

It's my Dad's birthday today! Here's a couple pictures, the left serious one I stole off my little sister Jacqui's blog and then the one that has Dad working in the barn I took and this is where he spends most of his day.  He works all.the.time. When I was in high school my Mum got remarried and she married Edward Fox, and he adopted my sister and I.  As a teenager, I will be the first to admit this was a hard thing on me as it was a major change in my life and there was lots of ups and downs.  But now I am all grown up and old and I love Dad so very much and my Mum is so happy, and it was the best thing for both of them.  Happy Birthday Dad, let's hope the year 2010, gets you and Mum to ARIZONA!!!!

Today was my downline shoebox and pizza party, and we had so much fun, little did I know that the pizza place we were gonna order from has new summer hours, they don't open till 4pm…what??? So we ordered from a different pizza place that delivers, and it was yummy and all catastrophes were averted. I will share the cards we did in a few posts over the next couple days…I'm gonna milk it…that's just moi or should I say moo? ha!

One of the awesome cards I got from the GoDiva swap was from Kerin Sylvester, so I changed it a tad, and this is my FLICKs card for April. I love it and this new paper and new stamp set is so cute.  Thanks Kerin for the inspiration. Your card was "sweet".

 Stamp Set: Sweet Scoops

Paper: Tempting Turquoise, Old Olive, Whisper White, Island Oasis DSP

Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Tempting Turquoise, Old Olive, More Mustard

Misc: Old Olive Satin ribbon

So I finished reading PS I Love You, and now I can't remember who I was talking about with it, so if it was you, let me know. Sorry…my mind…ha!

Anyway, it was good, but I really liked the movie better, and really I am not even sure I would have gone to the movie if I had read the book first…well until I saw Gerard Butler was in it, and then I would have caved, but I think I enjoyed the story line of the movie better, and cried more in the movie, then the book.  Now I am starting The Reckoning by Kelley Armstrong, it is the third and final book in the series.  This will be a fast read I am sure.

Oh and I saw some True Blood series 3 previews last night, I have been so bad lately and have not even turned on HBO, what is wrong with me? So they could have been on a long time for all I know, but I am so excited for that to start again.  June 13 I think it said.  I will schedule it in My Precious.

Well I had my Elements of Style class tonight, and it went quick. I have it again in the morning, and then Monday morning too. Busy next few days!

Have a blessed Sunday and thanks for stopping in!  If you see my Dad, give him a pinch to grow an inch.  If he wants to pay me back, tell him he knows where to find me…in Arizona…ha!

Cute card. I stopped in to see Dad yesterday cause we were up at the house. It was Aunt Anne's birthday yesterday, so they had spent some time with her!
    I didn't pinch him though!
    Luv ya

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
