GoDiva Swap Inspiration

This 'n' That

19 May

DSCN1654 copy

So a couple months back I told you about Robin Merriman asking me to be part of her swap and I said sure, and I made this card.

I got some beautiful cards back and this card is almost copied, I didn't change it a lot and it was an amazing card by Cindy Westerink. So thanks Cindy for the card idea, I love it, and I know my girls will too when they come to class this weekend and make it.

DSCN1652 copy
Stamp Set: Elements of Style

Paper: Soft Suede, Kraft, Whisper White

Ink:  Whisper White craft, Soft Suede

Misc: Top Note, Square lattice embossing folder, kraft taffeta ribbon, White embossing powder, Gold Glow and Log Cabin Smooch Spritz

So I had such a great day, I spent it with MAMMa, and Jen, and we went to see Letters to Juliet, it was such a good movie, we laughed, we cried.  Then we went to Brio for supper and then we quickly drove home so I could get my car and get home for American Idol.  I have tons of emails to answer and will do it tomorrow…ok? I am going to go to bed early.

But before I go to bed, you didn't think I would forget my two cents on Idol did you? Come on, it's the final three!!!

Where's my notes?  I was tapping away on My Precious while it was on…here it is…ok

Casey sang first and I did not know the song and that means I did not care for it.  I can not stand Kara but I did agree with what she said that he should have sang a song we know.

Crystal sang second and we missed the first bit, but she did pretty good, didn't change the song much, but love when she gets out that mouth organ.

Lee, I love Lee, there I said it.  His singing and those eyes and that crooked smile make my toes curl. He sounded awesome.

Then they went home, I was a little disappointed in how much they showed of them going home, this was pretty sad compared to other years, I mean did they even show Lee getting out of the car? Oh well. More time for singing I guess.

So then it was judges choice, and I am a little mad at who picked Casey's song, it was like they figured he was not gonna win, so they gave him a crap song.  I did not like the second one either.  So long Casey.  Oh but I loved Ellen's expression when Kara told Casey he had to sing to woman and girls cause that is who will listen to his music, it was like Ellen was thinking…are you for real? did you really say that out loud?  you are dumber then dirt. I believe that is what I read in that expression…I bet you can google it, and see it. It was hilarious!

Then Ellen picked Crystal's song, Jeff and I both guessed it would be a Janis Joplin song, but nope it was a Paul McArtney song, Maybe I'm Amazed and I think she was saying lyrics in it about being a man?  I will have to look them up, she did pretty good though.

Then my Lee was up, did I tell you I love him? Simon picked his song, and it is one of my favorite songs. He sang Hallelujah or Eric likes to say the Shrek song, and my toes curled all the way up to my knees.  Ouch!  He had me crying it was so beautiful.

In case you missed it: (and so I can come back here for my daily/hourly fix)

More Lee stuff, you can hear him sing more, the video is jumpy cause of all his FANS!!!!:

One more, I promise, I love this one…the famous pants tug song…love him…

Who did I vote for?  I'll give you 3 guesses…ha!  I voted for Lee and then Lee and then Lee.  I hope he wins the whole thing, cause he has totally knocked my socks off, and I can hardly wait to buy his CD…with the life size poster in it.  I gotta find me a Lee screen saver….what ever will I do, when this season is over?

Well I am off of here for now, I promise to answer my emails tomorrow!

Have an awesome Wednesday and thanks for stopping in!

Your artwork is very nice and I especially LOVE your commentary of American Idol. You're so funny and look forward to your Wed. post. You're right, somebody should show Kara the door!

Schnikes (pronounced Sh nikes-like the shoe) girl that boy is some good eye candy. It makes me sad I am the only person in North America who has not been watching AI. I usually end up watching the last show at work because every single patient has it on in their room. Oh yeah, your card is great too and I wish you would send the jet to get me on Saturday so I could take the class with you. Now back to the darling Lee. Thanks for putting the video on. Even Roscoe's ears perked up when that was on.

I think Lee will take it all as well. I get what you mean about the toe-curling! I was rooting for Big Mike though…love to see the big people win some 🙂

The card is beautiful. I have to admit that I thought it was a paper towel behind the suede!!

Love your blog Diana – the stamping and the AI recap – love Lee – he's from a Chicago suburb just north of me and I really hope he wins – one of my friends went to see the concert he gave when he was home – too bad I had to go to work!

Love the card too – one of the few sets I haven't bought from the summer mini.
