Another Happy Birthday Card

This 'n' That

10 May

DSCN1633 copy

Today was a nice day, I read a little, I stamped a little, we watched a little TV (we are watching the first season of Leverage – it is so good!!), and we even ordered a pizza for supper.

I finished designing my cards for my Elements of Style stamp set class, and I will show them in a day or so. If you get my email newsletter, you will have seen them already.  If you don't get my newsletter make sure to go over to the left and click on the sign up for my email newsletter and enter your email address.

I have 350 cards to cut for my classes coming up this weekend, so this week is gonna be busy.  My neck is getting not so tight, so that is good.

This is one of the other cards that I made at MAMMa's class on Friday night.  I love doing these flowers and I love all the embellishments that we used.  The beads, the punches, the striped ribbon, everything.  Beautiful!

Stamp Set: Fifth Avenue Floral, Teeny Tiny Wishes

Paper: Rose Red, Whisper White, Basic Black, Only Orange, Kaleidoscope DSP

Ink: Rose Red, Basic Black

Misc: Scallop Circle punch, Scallop Trim border punch, Sticky strip, black striped wide grosgrain ribbon, orange duo beads, rhinestone brads

Tip:  Put your sticky strip along the side of your punched piece of cardstock.  Pour on the larger beads from the duo pack.  Press them into the sticky strip.  Tap off any extra and return the lose beads to the container.  Now pour on the micro beads from the duo pack.  These will fill in any spots that the big beads did not fill.  Press into the sticky strip and tap off extra and put them back in container.  Voila'! Fun eh?

Well I am headed to bed, to get back to my book, it is so good. Mandy started it today too, and I just know she is going to finish it before me.  She is a fast reader, she does not nap every third chapter like I do…ha!

Have an awesome Monday and thanks for stopping in!

Oo this is nice. The colours are so vibrant. Good tip on the beads – I have so many and never use them – and look at that wide ribbon – I hoard my ribbon. They are probably gonna have some scrapbookers and stampers on that hoarders show soon!
    Luv ya

I love the card. It has so many fun elements on it. You actually used your wide ribbon. I love mine so I am hoarding it. You are gonna have so much fun in your class this weekend. The tip you gave for the beads is a good idea. That is another thing that I hoard. Yes, you can call me a hoarder. I love the show Leverage and even got DH hooked on it. I do a lot of staring at the guy with the long hair (name escapes me). If you like Leverage you also need to watch In Plain Site. With your sense of humor I think you would enjoy it. Also Psych is right up your alley. I watch waaaayy too much TV. I need to stamp more.

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
