Today my Summer Mini catalog pre-order arrived, and as deaf as I am, my ears can sense the sound of the UPS truck, before the truck even stopped I had the door open and had Curtis, that's my UPS man, you do know your UPS man on a first name basis don't ya? No? Then you don't order near enough Stampin' Up! Ha! So anyway, I had him bring the box in cause my nails were wet…my green nails…my ugly green nails…I think the polish stayed on long enough to be dry and off it came, I just couldn't do it…sorry Mel.
So I was busy cutting paper for my workshop on Saturday so I stayed away from the box till tonight, I don't need to be tempted.
Eric made supper tonight, he does every Thursday with his HAB helper Mike and he made breakfast, a whole pack of bacon, and pancakes the size of your head, he also made smoothies to drink. He is so cute. I have started not really a diet, cause I hate that word, but have started walking and eating sensible, and stopping eating when I am full. So I did not even eat a full piece of bacon and I didn't eat a hole noggin sized pancake, I also put Nutella on my pancake instead of syrup, cause I think (I hate figuring out food labels), but I think it was less fattening.
So after supper I could hear this guy screaming "Let me Out!", and I thought in honor of Eric, cause he loves to use the grill too, I would whip up this card.
Stamp set: King of the Grill ,this is a set in the upcoming Summer mini – a little perk of being a Demonstrator is being able to pre-order a month early
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Sage Shadow, Sweet Pea DSP, Watercolor paper
Ink: Jetblack Stazon, Bashful Blue, Real Red, Going Gray, Basic Gray, Sage Shadow, Creamy Caramel, Blush Blossom, Pink Pirouette
Misc: Jumbo brads (5/16"), My Way punch, Platinum shimmer paint
Cute card eh? If I may say so myself. This card is 3 1/4" x 5"
Well one more coat of PINK polish and I am off to bed.
Have a great Friday and thanks so much for stopping in!
Cute card!!! I really like that set. I might just have to get it – I'm trying to not to pre-order anything..I would love to try one of Eric's noggin' sized pancakes sometime!!!!
Luv Ya

OH MY ….I love that little grillin' villain… I gotta get that one!! My other half loves to grill too!!!
Your post makes me smile. I didnt know people are not on a first name basis with their UPS man. My UPS man will call me out in the store "Hey, Kera I have some boxes on the truck you want them now?" … he knows MY name… lol.
And with the truck sound… yeah I know it too well then sometimes that darn FedEx truck has me jumping for no reason… lol
OH MY GOSH! Dianna, this card ROCKS! I so can't wait for my order to come next week (yup, here in Newfoundland, Canada we have to wait 2-3 weeks for our orders get here…depressing!).
Oh, and even though your going through a "Lifestyle Change" you can still have syrup…ED Smith has an AWESOME syrup…it's made with grape juice instead of sugar! YUM-O!!! I NEED syrup on my pam-pakes (as my 2 year old calls them!). If you can't get it there let me know and I'll see about sending you down some!
Christine
PS: My Purolator guy's (no UPS here in Canada) name is Dave!
The green polish would be awesome if you were going to see Wicked. Other than that, I'm with you—leave it in the bottle.
I love your card today….totally made me smile.
Jessica
Hi Dianna! I've followed your blog for a long while and have loved it from the beginning! I've never commented before, so first off, I LOVE YOUR WORK! I love your sense of humor and your dedication! Now, as for my comment…NUTELLA on a pancake? I HAVE to try that!!! Thanks! Just as I'm starting to eat sensibly myself…but it sounds soooo yummy! Hugs, Cherri
Wow Di! This card is beautifully coloured! Did you use aqua painters and markers? I love the cloud background too! How did you create that!!!
Thanks!
Lesley 🙂
Hi Lesley,
Your email was returned, so I will answer you here…I used the aqua painter and ink refills to color.
The cloud is the scallop circle punch and then use it like a stencil and sponge around it, I will have to show that on my blog.
Have a great night!
Hugs,
Di
