I promise to show you Jeff's roses tomorrow, but today I got all my FLICKs (First Level Incentive Card Kits) done so I wanted to show that card, I will run them to the PO after my Technique class tomorrow.
As soon as I saw this fun greeting set from the Summer Mini catalog that starts in May called "Favorite Thoughts", I had to get it AND I knew what stamp set I would use this greeting with…"Extreme Elements" of course.
Paper: Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White
Ink: Rich Razzleberry
Misc: Perfect Polka Dot Impressions Folder, Polka Dot Rich Razzleberry Polka Dot ribbon, Dazzling Diamonds (this is on the top of the crown, but hard to see in the picture).
This is a cute (I think) and quick make n take, and could be any color at all. I love the saying I remember coming down the escalator one time in the mall with friends and we pretended to be waving like the queen, you know that royal wave, the open hand with all the fingers closed and you just kinda stiffly move it back and forth. I think this crown image would make a cool tattoo too.
My first level Demonstrators can earn cards each month based on their monthly sales, they can use them as they see fit, in a class, a workshop, or as door prizes. I usually try to keep the cards not super detailed, so they are easy to finish.
So tonight I watched the Academy of Country Music, I kept calling it the CMA's, hmmmm….maybe they changed the name? I loved seeing Reba host it. Usually they have Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley host it. This is my two cents worth…
A little bit of meanness in me is glad that Taylor Swift got NO awards, and I wanted to say ha! in her genre and they didn't give her one award, goes to show you Country Music knows good music, and that thing she came down on when she sang, it was like a bedazzled playpen, and the hair flying and silly dancing at the end of her song, I had to have Jeff slap the back of my head, one of my eyes got stuck as they were rolling around.
I think it was Carrie Underwood's Mum in the front row with the blue dress, and sometimes she looked like she was bored. I laughed with Matthew Mochanahey (I know I spelled it wrong), and Braid Paisley, they had some funny lines. I am not sure why Matthew gave Carrie the cowboy boots.
I am glad that Lady Antebellum got lots of awards, I was wishing "the lady" would pull her long dress up when she was going up the stairs I was afraid she was gonna fall.
I think Carrie's dress was WAY too short at the beginning of the show, I mean those first row people probably got an eye full, maybe that is why her Mum was not enjoying it that much sometimes..ha! But when she sang her song near the end with the beautiful gown, I do not know how she can sing the words "I see God's face", I can't even hear them without crying. That is a beautiful song.
I wish that the sound people had of not taken a potty break when Brooks and Dunn sang their last song ever on the ACM awards, cause the sound was all screwed up.
It was funny seeing Cher on the awards, I love her, but wish she had of wore different leggings, like perhaps a nice pair of tight leather wide legged jeans would have been better.
I love when they show the new stars, and I love the Zac Brown band, although they are not super new anymore. I love the hubby and wife duo Rory and Mr. Rory.
Rascal Flatts I love them as usual but the lead singer guy looked like he might have had some botox done on his forehead, it looked like he could not have any kind of facial expression.
I loved Toby Keith's song for his friend, what a beautiful tribute.
I think it was a good awards show over all, it was weird not seeing George Strait or Alan Jackson.
I loved the Zac Brown band showing USO pictures. We have a couple nephews headed over, and it brings a tear to my eye to think of them and all the soldiers in the line of duty and what they are doing for us over there. God bless them all.
It got to 95 degrees today, holy moly, but there is a storm coming in from California, and maybe we will see some rain this week.
Well I am headed to beddie bye, so I can get up for class in the am. I have been walking on the treadmill in the morning, just a mile a day right now, but better then nothing right?
Have an awesome Monday and thanks for stopping in!
