As one of this year's Artisan Award winners, Stampin' Up! asks us to do things once in a while, and they asked if we would be interested in making a couple samples using a few of the new colors, and give them our opinion on the new Color Renovation and it would be published in the May Stampin' Success. I said SURE!
The Stampin' Success (this is a magazine we get every month as a Demonstrator, got to love those perks) came in the mail the other day, so it is ok for me to share the samples I sent in, I'm gonna drag it out a few days, so I can catch up on a few other things I need to get done.
Today's sample is using Marina Mist, you are going to love this blue, it is like Brocade Blue in a way, but much much prettier.
Stamp Set: Bloomin' Beautiful, Friends 24-7, Tiny Tags
Paper: Shimmery White, Basic Black, Marina Mist, Old Olive
Ink: Jetblack Stazon, Sahara Sand, More Mustard, Old Olive, Marina Mist

Today was my first round of Technique Lover's Class so I will make a video tutorial of the techniques and post them next week.
The weather has started getting warm here in Arizona, I think it got to 85 today, ugh! I already have the a/c on in the house. Jeff's roses look beautiful though, and everyone commented on them today, you could smell them all the way to the house.
Well I am gonna get off here, the movie "Four Christmases" is coming on, so I want to check it out, the previews looked funny.
Have a blessed Sunday and thanks for stopping in!
To place a Stampin' Up! order, my on-line store is open 24-7, you can even shop in your jammies!
What??? No picture of Jeff's roses?? You are not allowed to comment on the roses and not take pictures of them.
Pretty card though…even though it wasn't roses!
Luv ya

LUCKY DUCK … you were able to play with the goodies x-tra early. Love all your projects in SS 🙂
Take care,

I know I'm going to love Marina Mist and I can't wait to pair it up with some of the new colors. I was lucky enough to get to play with Early Espresso. That's going to be a huge go to color for me as well.
Your card is gorgeous. I can't believe I still have not broken down and gotten this set. Your watercoloring is beautiful.
I just love the new colors. I also thought your cards (and everyone's) in the Stampin' Success were great. I can't wait to get my hands on alll of the new colors and start playing. Do you think someone was hungry when they sat around the table and talked about names for the new cardstock-Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso, Cajun Craze, and changing Kraft to Crumb Cake Just a thought. In the colors that will be used for the next catalog 17 of them have food as part of the name. We stampers are a hungry bunch aren't we?

Love your card using the new Marina Mist. I love the color Blue, no matter what shade it is. Would love to see pictures of the roses.
Roses are one of my favorite flowers.
BEAUTIFUL card. TFS!
Wow think I saw this stamp set somewhere before. I loved the watercolor tutorial and it really helped. I can see how your "Hot Tips" really helped me out. Patience is a virtue when water coloring. :)I do like this new blue color too.
It is a gorgeous blue! I can't wait to receive the cardstock samples SU! is sending us!
