Ghost Busters

This 'n' That

11 Apr

This morning on the way to Virginia's funeral, wait let me correct that, it was called a Celebration of Life, and let me tell you, we laughed and cried, and I know that Virginia was there enjoying it too. She was an amazing woman, and when the Chaplain said that Virginia planned the ceremony and told her what would be done at it, and what would not be, you could not help but smile, that was just like Virginia, oh and when someone wants to take your picture, and you are like oh my hair looks horrible or whatever excuse, GET IN THE PICTURE. They showed some awesome pictures of Virginia of her life, and her friends and family, and even though it made you sad to see them, it made you happy that her family and friends had these pictures to look back on.  I know I (who am always behind the camera), is gonna start getting in pictures with my family more…cowlick and all.

I want to thank all of you for your kind words and Birthday wishes, they mean the world to me.  Thank YOU!

So while we were on the road headed toward the freeway, the police had barricaded off part of the road, and you could see old ambulances and hearse's over there and then I looked closer and look what was there.

Ghost busters
It's the Ghost Busters car, now if that danged old police car had of been out of the way, but oh well that was too fun to see. When we came by it on the way home Jeff said it looked like the Munster car was there too, and I know I saw a big bike with skulls on the handles.

So on the way home, we stopped and had my Nitro washed since I had my workshop in the afternoon, and she was looking pretty dirty.  After we were on the freeway a little ways, I looked out the window in the side mirror and someone was looking back.

Spooky

Do you see what I see?  It looks like a face, like a skull, or like an x-ray of a head.  Freaky eh? I took a bunch of pictures, cause it was like you could only see it when the sun was on a certain side of the truck.  Once we turned on our road to come home the sun was right again, I made Jeff pull over so I could take a picture with the car stopped and with the window down.  So very cool, except when you read the words, "objects in mirror are closer then they appear"…YIKES!!! Close the window hurry!

Now as I sit here and type I am thinking what a dork I am, could I not have turned my head since the truck was stopped and the window was open and taken the picture fully and NOT through the mirror?  Who knows?

So what the heck was it?

Spooky dust
All it is is this dust, that when we washed the truck they never dried off all the dirt, and it was reflecting in the side of the truck.  Freaky teaky eh?

I got a couple cute birthday cards today and I will share them with you tomorrow.

Right now this old girl…one year older…old girl, is gonna hit the hay!

Have a blessed Sunday and thanks for stopping in!

It's nice you were able to share in the celebration for Virginia's life. The services are so much nicer when the person has them planned and they really are about that person….not about readings from the Bible etc. Don't get me wrong there is a time and a place for that as well, but when people come to a funeral, they want to hear about the life of that person, they can read the Bible on their own time. (I hope this doesn't offend anyone…but that's my thoughts)
I could see the funky face on the tire rim thingy – weird..
Can't wait to see the cards you got!!
    Luv ya

I missed yesterday so had to catch up and a belated Happy Birthday! I'm sad your friend passed on but happy you honor her with wonderful thoughts and memories. When I lost my mother I found others remembering gave me comfort. Enjoy your classes; thanks for sharing. MJ

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
