…or is it?
While I was getting tax stuff ready, I was figuring I might as well go through some file folders and get rid of some stuff to make room in the file cabinet, and I found an envelope amongst everything with some old cards in it, and this was one.
From my Mum, I was 10 years old.
Then I found this one amongst other papers.
Just your every day run of the mill flowered note card, but look what is inside…
A poem from Eric, and written in his own handwriting "To Mom Happy Mother's Dad! love Eric Gibbs" wait wait? Dad? I got a chuckle today just as I did the day I opened it many years ago. Eric meant to write Happy Mother's Day, and wrote Dad instead. Too cute, it reminds me of the time Eric wrote in pen on top of the washing machine, and he wrote the word "Dad". I called him on it later, and he said "I didn't do it, it says Dad". Kids gotta love em…
So I thought you would enjoy my little bit of reminiscing, it was fun to look at a card I got from my Mum, and a card I got as a Mum. Oh and before someone freaks out and emails me, I did NOT throw these away, I put Eric's Happy Mother's Dad! card in with all the other old ones. I'll look at them years from now and chuckle again I am sure.
Look what I got at the local World Market Cost Plus.
A little bit of Canadian goodness. I have been eating them like they are going out of style, BUT after they are all gone, I am going on a diet, and getting back to exercising, cause Convention will be here before I know it and I want to lose 20 pounds. My BFF Tracy and I are gonna do it together, longggg distance.
Well that's all from me for today, have a great Saturday and thanks for stopping in!
Need Stampin' Up!? My on-line store is open 24-7. Don't miss the new Clearance Rack deals!
Oh my gosh – I have a bunch of those cards upstairs in one of my drawers too!
Eric's card was adorable.
Heck I live in Canada and haven't ate digestive cookies in ages….I guess I just have to many Fritzie french fries, and Sebastian's pizza's to have room for digestive cookies!!!!
Luv ya
Jax
So sweet! I also like it that Eric signed his surname as well.
Happy Easter!
