Dots & Designs

This 'n' That

2 Apr

DSCN1275 copy

Today was so much fun, I met Linda in the morning, and we headed over to her Grandson Brandon's class, they are 9 and 10 year olds and so much fun, I can handle that age.

I was not able to take pictures of the kids cause of privacy issues, and I am cool with that, but the teacher said I could take pictures of like their hands and stuff, but we got busy and I only took a couple pictures and both little girls stepped back so I could get their bunnies so I didn't even get them in mid-action.

Here's a couple little bunnies, aren't they cute?  Linda already had everything punched out and embossed so the kids basically just had to assemble.  After they were all done, then we went around and helped draw the faces, now I will admit I am probably a teacher's worst nightmare (STILL, as I am sure I was when I was IN school), so my kids bunnies, had whiskers, some had freckles, and toes, you name it, and it was cute, you would do something with the one child and then the next one would want the same, so I was like "let's try this, ya want toes on your bunny?" and she said "yes", and sure enough the next child said, "I want mine just like that".  Then the kids on the other side of the room must have been saying something cause then the teacher said "no whiskers, you can add those later" Oops! Maybe that is why art was my favorite class in school. I was free to be my own person.  Anyway, it was great to see the kids, there were 32 of them, and the teacher was great cause she was teaching as they did their arts and crafts, and I had a teacher like that in school.  Mr. Salts, and he would make learning fun, and you know what? When you are having fun, it is like your brain is more open to learning. So you can bet when the teacher was explaining why the bunnies ears are pink inside, they are totally gonna remember because of how they were taught it.  Such fun!

I made up another little packet of card guts from either Regional or Leadership, and this I think was supposed to be a scrapbook page.

I chopped it up and made it into a card, added different ribbons, a scrunchy flower, some rubons and I think it turned out not too bad. What do you think?

I agree – teachers make the world of difference. I bet they'll be telling their kids why rabbits ears are pink in the middle and then they will think back to the crazy women putting toes on the rabbits!!!!
Like the card – love those scrunchy flowers – not sure the machine at the post office likes them much though!
    Luv ya

Hi, my name is Diana Gibbs and I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 1999. I never imagined getting up and talking to people, I am deaf (I wear hearing aids) so talking to strangers has never been a fun thing for me. But put a rubber stamp in my hand and I will talk to anyone.

I hope you can find inspiration and learn new and exciting things while you are here. If there is ever anything you want me to teach you, just let me know!
