Beautiful Batik Technique

Tutorials/Tips

20 Apr

I told you that I would show you how to do the Beautiful Batik technique after my class, and today was the last class, so here goes.  It is fun and easy.

You will need, Shimmery White cardstock (the thinner cardstocks sometimes tear in the ironing stage), embossing buddy, versamark pad, stamps, clear embossing powder, heat gun, water bottle, iron, and scrap paper.

See how easy that was?  I need to find the Nike shoe I did in art class using the REAL Batik technique, it looks really cool.

I also promised you that I would show you Jeff's roses. Too funny, I closed my studio door, turned off the phones and told Jeff I was doing a video for my blog tomorrow and he said "you are supposed to show my roses", ha my number one fan, I tell ya!

These are climbing roses

This is almost like a carnation rose

Here are the rows of roses, and where everyone parks to come to class, they smelled so beautiful the other day.

Wouldn't this long stem beauty be nice cut and given to a wife…huh?

This shows you how big the blooms are. It does not take long for the sun to mess up the edges.

Well that is it for me today, I have a Big Shot class this coming weekend, so I got to get crackin' with that.

Have a beautiful Tuesday and thanks so much for stopping in.

Thanks for the tutorial!!! I oohhed and ahhed at the embossed resist and then my mouth dropped at the batik. What a beautiful accent to your card!!! I can't wait to try this.

Please tell Jeff that his roses are gorgeous!! Roses are SO temperemental and I can tell that he treats those with a lot of TLC.

The roses are BEAUTIFUL! Nice, thick bushes and fantastic flowers! Tell Jeff to keep up the great care! I did Batik in an art class in college so I'm definitely going to try this technique! Thanks so much for the great details!

Di: LOVE this technique…going to have to try this later today (fingers crossed). Jeff's roses are so beautiful. I too live in Arizona (SaddleBrooke) and my roses this year have EXPLODED. I have so many buds just ready to BURST that I can't believe the stem is going to be able to hold up the roses. Thanks for sharing your (Jeff's) beautiful roses…..LOVELY!

So, who do you think will be going home tonight? Tim? Erin? Who?
Love Glee. Seen every episode. It deals with some serious issues in an easy to handle yet sensative way.
