Over, Under…

This 'n' That

20 Mar

…I wonder what this world is coming to when we have commercials or discussions on what direction we put our toilet paper roll…I even googled "under over toilet paper" and I got this:

http://currentconfig.com/2005/02/22/essential-life-lesson-1-over-is-right-under-is-wrong/

It even has diagrams and sounds all scientific and stuff.  Now you know me, I'm a leeetle bit of a rebel, I like to think outside of the box, throw the old left handed monkey wrench in the whole system.

This is what the toilet paper looks like 97.43% of the time in our house.

Sideways tp

I wonder what the folks at Current Configuration would think about that?

I guess we can just ponder this mystery and I'll check back with ya'll tomorrow…I'm gonna be watching "New Moon" for probably like 10 times!

Have an awesome Saturday and thanks for stopping in!

LOL! I thought the same thing when I saw those commercials. It is funny though. I remember years ago there was a discussion on Oprah about this. My mom and I are the oppposites, so when we visit each others' house, we have to put up with the "other" side. Your roll is like that, because you have men at your house. Why don't they like to change the toilet paper roll? I am on over person. Hee Hee!

That cracks me up because that's exactly what my TP looks like right now – sitting right on top.

You are a woman after my heart. That's what the toilet paper looks like in our house quite often also. You always make me smile. I really enjoy your ideas, comments, and overall your blog. Thank you for sharing.

    Hi Di!

I put it on so it's over. I watched Twilight for the first time a couple weeks ago. The fast running up the trees freaked me out. LOL!

I liked the old "Lost Boys". So sad about Corey Haim. I grew up in that era…

Have a great time watching your movie:)

You make me laugh – my roll usually looks just like yours – however, I'm mostly an over person. My Mom is and under – whenever I am in her bathroom I alway flip it over – shame on me!

This is so funny… I like how one gal said you must have men in your house – heaven forbid they put it on either way….Sorry gals I'm a under gal. I know thats just wrong. I remember having this discussion on a 4-H bus ride years ago and not knowing what the heck they were talking about – really didn't matter back then. Apparently it does now…

This made me laugh!!! I am the only female in this house. We are over people. I have taught the men here to put it over. I find it easier to find the end of the roll in the dark that way. LOL Now if I could only teach them to put the seat down!!! HA

I was at a house gathering the other night-in their bathroom- there was a basket that held 10 rolls- on the front it says- "believe it or NOT- changing the toilet paper does NOT cause brain damage" lol

Hi Di – you would have loved our old house in California. None of the bathrooms had toilet paper holders so the whole over under debate was a moot point! And the toilets were too close to the walls to put them up without leaving a bruise on the love handles. When my late husband Steve and I got married I was an under and he was an over…he told me that if I truly, truly loved him I would convert! Amazingly this was one area our premarital counseling never covered – LoL! I'd say he was anal about the whole thing but that just sounds so wrong…ha,ha,ha. Funny thing is, now 30 years later and a widow to boot I'm a total over girl and have been know to change rolls when visiting others! So rude…I know but you know how hard line we converts can be sometimes. 😀 Luckily since we were both Catholic we never had to deal with serious faith issues so we could laugh about my being a Paper Convert and then watch other people's expressions. Some people thought I just signed a paper agreeing to be a Catholic but never got baptized and others had even crazier notions. To me that sounded like signing up to be a Democrat (or Republican for that matter) and then never actually voting….now that's what I would call a paper convert…On the other hand since I joined Stampin' Up! I guess I'm now a paper convert of a different sort!

Thanks for sharing the zany point of view you rebel you! Must be living in the States is rubbing off on you!

Big Hugs my friend – Jean

Hi, Diana! I stumbled upon your blog through a string of the Styling Blogger Award. I went throught string lang Alice falling in the Rabbit hole… and Voila, I found your TP post. That just made my day! Thank you sooo much for the laugh. I just recently got sick of hanging those rolls onto the TP rack. I have mine sitting by the sink…lol. I still have the cardboard roll on mine and my folks are wondering why it's always empty….lol. It's been there for months now and soon I'll just have the whole rack taken off that wall..lol. It's useless now…lol. (BTW, I save more on TP if I don't have it on the rack)hehe
